A win! The last win was in September before I travelled to Europe. I'm choosing to ignore the negatives for the night and only talk about the positives.
Sellman is fun to watch and we get her for 3 more years. Hoffman has become the DS for this team, which means no more watching Taylor be at least 1 step slow to every ball. Winning every set with an ace. How many teams have done that before?
I didn't see Grace Egan dressed standing with the reserves or even sitting on the bench (hard to tell on the stream), which means she might be out for longer then it first appeared when she injured herself vs Oregon.

Have to imagine they both are medical redshirts if they aren’t back in the next 2-3 weeks, and if so, this season is probably one to file away if you’re an avid Buckeye fan/onlooker. Haven’t seen a few of the sophomores take the necessary steps forward yet either. Would be close to a fringe tourney team with a healthy roster anyway. Too bad for Londot. She could’ve gone anywhere. Unfortunately, Ella's medical redshirt qualification depends on if this is a NEW injury she had in season, or if it's the same one she's had for a while. :/ If it's not new, she already has used a medical redshirt for that injury 🤕 . I was really, really hoping she would be healthy and contribute to the Buckeyes, other than against one particular opponent, which shut healthy her down!

At the schott for today's game and Egan is in a walking boot.

At the schott for today's game and Egan is in a walking boot. That’s real unfortunate. Wasn’t she injured last season too?

Too lazy to make a thread, but blowing the set after being up 24 20 is the perfect representation of this team to the extra thousands of fans here today who haven't seen them play before.

I just tuned in and the 14 different ways this announcer has said “Valentina Vaulet” has me rolling. “Victoria Vallet” “Vowlet” “Valay”

I think it’s fair to have real concerns about the direction of the program.
Not indicting JFO, but we haven’t seen her have any sort of success since Carlston’s final cycle of players/recruits graduated.
The underclassmen haven’t performed nearly to expectations given their recruiting prowess out of JO and high school. JFO and staff haven’t taken advantage of the portal or adapted to the mechanics of using it in its full to add impact players. And the staple of recruits they have signed for the next 2 years does not inspire much confidence that things are going to turn around in lieu of losing their best two players after the season in Londot and Rader.
Ohio State is too big of a brand and has too many resources available to put up with 3+ years of rebuilding/being a bottom end B1G team. It’s why Carlston got let go. Things need to change in a big way next year. JFO needs to hit the portal hard.

Heaven forbid the Nuts do something truly terrible and lose to Rutgers.

I just realized you are playing Penn State and Nebraska on consecutive nights. Good luck with that.

Tough, tough weekend for the Buckeye faithful. We've all accepted that this season is over and this team isn't going to be wining many more games. All that's left for this season is enjoying what is left of Londot and Rader and watching Sellman grow into her role of future Londot.

Anyone know if Tuman is hurt or just not playing? Looks like she hasn't played since early in Indiana game.

Tough, tough weekend for the Buckeye faithful. LOL... I became a Nuts volleyball fan in 2007-2008. I was born into losing volleyball. This is just a return to what I'm most familiar with. It's usually either this or Sweet 16 exits as the plucky underdog. It's all I've known, basically my villain origin story.
