Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce just dropped out of the 100m! Two-time defending gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah also didn't make it to Paris due to injury. It's never been more set up for Sha'Carri. If she can have her best start, Sha’Carri can take it! 🇺🇸

Julien Alfred, holy crap. 10.72 in the rain and a very slight headwind.

a terrible start for sha'carri I'm sure the rain didn't help, but I don't think it would have mattered. No one was beating Alfred in this race.

As sad as I am Sha'Carri didn't win, how amazing it must be for St. Lucia to have representation in a gold medal

a terrible start for sha'carri I'm sure the rain didn't help, but I don't think it would have mattered. No one was beating Alfred in this race. According to /r/trackandfield, Alfred wins by about .07 even if Sha'Carri had the same reaction time. Actually, I'll just post the reaction times below. In fact, if Sha'Carri had a reaction time fast enough to actually win this race, she would have been DQ'd for a false start. Alfred was too good.
