So on another thread the talk was about maybe Pauley Pavilion but a poster said that the Honda Center in Anaheim will be it.
Can anyone confirm with conviction?
With 17,000 seats isn’t that too big? I think Rio was in the Maracanã Stadium 11-12,000 range and the Sud 1 Paris arena was 7-8000.
Maybe it’s correct because Pauley would be in the 12-13,000 range.
The demand for tickets was very high and the sport did extremely well on tv markets .
A hockey/Basketball arena would be awesome . Hopefully we get 15,000 NON So Cal fans who will actually go to the venue and support the competition. 😎😇
Personally I would love it there at Honda Center

The Honda Center is the current front runner, but there are other possibilities being considered. The Intuit Dome--the new home of the Clippers--has just opened in Inglewood and is being considered, in part because of it's potential accessibility by public transportation (it's also a pretty awesome arena in its own right). There is a new Metro line station in Westwood (D line) slated to open 2027, but that may be overly optimistic. The Honda Center is conveniently located, but mass public transport to there will require special shuttles since there is not much existing public transportation currently (it's also in Orange County, not LA, which rankles some of the planners for some reason).

No, you can't do both in the same arena, but there is [attempted] wrangling nonetheless. I think the Honda Center would be fine/perfect for volleyball.
