UCSB plays Loyola Marymount tonight. The LMU setter is former Gaucho, Ashley Dutro. LMU is 12-2 and this would seem to be a slam dunk win for them. However, LMU's best win is over #72 Cal State Disneyland, so if they win this it will be their best win to date. UCSB frosh setter Brandt vs. former setter Dutro, it should be interesting.
Go Gauchos!

I have mixed feelings about this match. On the one hand, I like to see transferred players do well against their former team; on the other hand, something tells me the transfer worked out well for everyone, including UCSB. So, it's a draw. Someone else would have to pony up the dough for the monkey.

A warning to all potential broadcasters, don't assume that the mics are offline, they might not be.

Glad I'm not there - real BAD cold and could not yell - of course what I might have yelled might have gotten me thrown out for the season

12 all 15-16 18-19 21-20 22-20 TO LMU 28-24 29-27 UCSB doing the fade? TO UCSB 30-27 Gauchos win Game 1
Nice job by UCSB, but Saraceno MUST cut down on her serving errors. A tough serve isn't worth anything if it is into the net every other try.
