How is one supposed to know which thread is "In-game" vs. "Pre-game" without proper labeling? Otherwise, people will post in whichever thread they chance upon.

The match hasn't started yet. I'm guessing the thread is "pregame"

There are two Nebraska-Texas threads, alive and kicking. I wonder which thread people will treat as the real "in-game" thread once the match starts?

This is a win-win for Texas. If they beat NU they should move up two or three spots in the polls. If they lose, based upon this year's history, they will likely move up on spot.

This is one of those matches where no outcome would suprise me. Texas has struggled for sure, but they will still take the floor with more overall talent tonight. This match also provides alot more opportunity for Texas than it does Nebraska. At Nebraska or Neutral, I would pick the Huskers for certain, this one is a pick-em.

Some pre-game press.
Holloway Eyes Texas as Special
LINCOLN - Rachel Holloway certainly didn't two-step around the Texas issue Tuesday.
Holloway made a name for herself playing club and high school volleyball in Colorado. She hasn't lived in the Lone Star State since she was 4, and most of her immediate family members currently call Nashville, Tenn., home.
Still, Nebraska's redshirt freshman setter has more Austin connections than Bergstrom International Airport. So when the No. 1 Huskers and the ninth-ranked Longhorns face off tonight at Texas' Gregory Gymnasium, it's safe to assume this won't be just another match for Holloway.
"Yeah, I've been thinking about it for a couple of months," Holloway said with a laugh. "I don't know - something about Texas just gets my blood flowing."
Holloway's older sister, Sarah, played volleyball at Texas in 2004. The younger Holloway also was recruited heavily by the Longhorns, and she might be wearing burnt orange instead of red tonight had her sister not transferred.
Holloway's older brother, Tillman, was a standout offensive lineman for the Longhorns football team from 2000-03. Both of her parents and three of her grandparents attended the school in Austin - including her late grandfather Bud McFadin, a two-time All-American at Texas and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
But all of that family history won't mean a thing tonight, when Holloway and the Huskers (17-0 overall, 9-0 Big 12) aim to remain perfect on the year and strengthen their lead atop the league standings.
"They all just support me, and they don't really care about Texas," said Holloway, who on Monday became the first NU setter to win Big 12 player of the week honors since Greichaly Cepero in 2002. "My dad is so into Nebraska volleyball, it's kind of ridiculous. They have no loyalty (to Texas) right now."
The Longhorns are 12-4 overall and 7-2 against the league. They've been ranked as high as No. 5 this season, and they own impressive victories over Wisconsin, Santa Clara and defending national champion Washington.
Texas also struggled mightily during a stretch in late September, when they got routed at Missouri and lost in five games at Oklahoma. The Longhorns had to rally for a 3-2 win at home against last-place Kansas State to avoid a three-match losing streak.
But even though Texas has been an up-and-down club so far, NU coach John Cook expects nothing less than an all-out battle tonight in Austin.
In 2004, Nebraska had to rally for a wild five-game victory on the Longhorns' home floor.
When NU visited Texas last year, the Huskers had a shot at wrapping up a perfect 20-0 record against the Big 12. Instead, Nebraska wasted a 2-0 lead as the Longhorns stormed back to upset the Huskers in five.
"I think that's good," Cook said about last year's loss in Austin. "Because now our players will have a different mentality for this match.
"They know going in they're going to have to play great."
And during a season in which showdowns against top-ranked teams have been a rarity for NU, the Huskers remain hungry for any chance to prove themselves in marquee matches.
NU made a big statement by sweeping No. 12 Missouri last week in Columbia, Mo. Before that contest, the Huskers hadn't played any team ranked higher than No. 20.
"Our team is really looking forward to this, and they know how talented Texas is - we won't even have to talk about that," Cook said. "They're looking forward to seeing what we're all about, and the only way to learn that is to get in this environment and play."
Huskers-'Horns -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • When: 6:30 tonight
• Where: Gregory Gymnasium, Austin
• Records: NU 17-0, 9-0 Big12; Texas 12-4, 7-2
• Rankings: NU No 1; Texas No. 9
• TV: ESPNU
• Radio: 107.3 FM in Lincoln and parts of Omaha

Geez, what am I supposed to do tonight. I need to have one eye on ESPNU, one eye on Fox for Game 6 of the NLCS, and one eye on the Mizzou/OU gametracker.

Let's just take a look at them position by position. OH1 Larson vs Acevedo (Larson) Larson has been much more reliable and steady this season. OH 2 Mancuso vs Hooker/Christian (Tie) Neither has been super productive but Mancuso has not been subbed out of matches for poor performance OPP Pavan vs Engle (No comparison PAVAN) Pavan has been more steady and way more productive M1 Stalls vs Todd (Stalls) More experience with her years in Japan M2 Cooper vs Paolini (Tie) Setter (Moriarty vs Halloway) A slight edge to Moriarty... more big match experience. I don't see Texas as having more talent.
