Live on Fox College Sports Central from Baton Rouge. LSU up 13-12 in game one, mostly a sideout game so far.

22-22. Hey, it isn't football and they might not serve beer, so why would you get excited?

22-22, timeout UT
I still don't know how romero is so good. Man, I wish they'd get her in better shape, she would be amazing.

This match shows me the SEC is clearly improving. LSU is number two in the league and UT maybe fourth or fifth, and I think both look like they could take Duke easily. Is the ACC just down, or is the SEC maybe getting some of the players the ACC used to get?

26-25 LSU. Fautsch has to learn to not swing 100 mph on bad sets. She makes it so easy to be blocked when she does that. This is good back and forth action.

Romero can play, though. She made a great set to the middle for a kill and found the back corner on a second ball attack, probably knowing Blum was serving and would be back there. 30-28 LSU in game one.

Oh yeah, Romero is no doubt very good. I just think she'd be a truly elite setter if she were in shape. 20 assists in game 1 is highly impressive.

Vanessa Freeman is one of the best right side hitters in terms of hitting ability that I've seen in awhile. Most right side hitters these days run slides but she can rip a 5 ball.
