When Pavan gets a kill, it looks like she is already thinking about her next kill. I don't see why anyone would have a problem with that... IMO way too big a deal gets out of Husker player's facial expressions...
I have to side with O_RLY about the fans though. I respect the size, dedication, and sportsmanship of the Husker fans, but they dont seem very loud, especially when you consider how many people there are... We always joke that the reason the Husker's never seem to win their first game point is that it's the only time the crowd gets reallyinto it and the players want to draw it out...
Nothing but props for the Nebraska fans, they are awesome in their own way. I just prefer a crowd with a little more energy...

It looks like Mizzou just isn't going to beat Nebraska any time soon. I thought they had a chance last season, but it didn't happen. With all the talent they will lose, I wonder where they will be in the Big 12 in the future. How are their new starters this season?

The Kreklows might move the team from Columbia to Shanghai next season. That would make it even more awesome when the fans chant "U-S-A!"

Well, the announcers were something else, she wasn't bad, but please don't let him commentate anymore. He needs to learn the difference between serve receive and service. And between a block and a kill. WOw, he was bad.
Missouri did, or was made to look like freshman. I know there are some young players out there, but they really looked like they hadn't been playing very long. Credit Nebraska for that one. And Missouri's setters is what held them out in game 3. She was horrible! Her location was off, and was making really bad decisions. Kline started well, but got really quite after NU blocker her. The other Wilson sister I wasn't that impressed with. I guess that is all because they are freshman. They are going to have to mature really quickly.

Funny, I was in the arena and it was extemely loud, infact at times it almost hurt. Having watched matches on TV and attending in person I can tell you can't judge that from the TV. If the sound people aloud it do come through you wouldn't hear a thing the announcers heard( that would probably be a good thing.)

Nebraska fans have never been obnoxiously loud, I can think of about three or four matches in the post season in the last 12 years where I felt the fans had a part in the outcome of the match. NU fans are respectful, etc, and as someone said, old. The biggest problem with NU fans and I've said this before is if the Huskers get into trouble at home by the time the fans realize the Huskers need them, their opponent has already settled in. IE---Hawaii 2002 regional finals. It wasn't quiet though last night and I was there.

question did fox all of the sudden decide to pick this up?? Depends on what you mean by all of the sudden. It was announced at least three weeks ago but I don't know how much before that.

I was also there and it was pretty loud. There have certainly been louder games but the fans knew this was a fairly big game so they were there for the team when they needed it.
Respectful is a very good term for the Husker fans. What really pleased me was the ovation the Missouri players received when they were introduced, not just the Nebraska players on the team but all of them. Missouri also did win some good points and the fans appreciated their efforts as well. I know some fans like to see painted faces and painted fat bare bellies and some like to heckle and harrass the opposing players but that is not our style and I am VERY GLAD.

It was great to be able to watch a live NCAA match on TV last night! I hope that Fox Sports continues to do this. It would be great to have a live match per week. The Big 12 plays on Wednesdays and the Big 10 always has one match on Wednesdays. What other conferences play on Wednesdays as well?

What I wish would happen is for the University to somehow get a student section on the floor going. It would bring so much energy to the floor and to the whole place. The "Red Zone" guys at NU basketball games are very appropriate and a lot of fun. I do think it's a shame that students are all but shut out of NU volleyball except for the rafter seats. :-(

We already have people everywhere but hanging from the ceiling and no one is going to give up their tickets. I wonder if that west side of the bleachers could be enlarged to accomodate about double the fans???
