I love how UW used both of their MBs to open up the offense. That creates less pressure on the OHs/Opp, especially if one or two of them were struggling.

Yeah, except for when they don't quite have enough control over the ball to run anything to the middles. There were a lot of high outside sets to the left side hitters, and they were facing a lot of UCLA triple blocks. All I can say is that Christal Morrison looked like an all-American -- and she had to to hit even .250 against that block. Stevie Mussie struggled at times and caught fire at times. Yes the MBs had good numbers, but the OHs were under pressure the whole night long.

Yes, Alix Klineman was there - all decked out in a white "Washington" sweatshirt. She clapped when the Huskies scored all night. She did a little "jig" when we won Game 4, had a huge grin on her face, and "High Fived" all the UW players. So what's your take on this? That she is leaning towards signing with the Huskies?

So, is Washington the only team that won with Klineman in attendance?

I have no idea. I do know that it appeared she enjoyed herself and that she seemed very happy that we won. I kept glancing over at her all night to see her reaction and she was sort of sitting there clapping politely in the first 2 1/2 games, but started to get into it more in game 3 and especially game 4. She clapped when we won the point and not when UCLA won the point, but maybe she was just being a "good visitor". She seemed very animated by the end of the game. I am very glad we got last (or maybe it is next to last - I am not sure where she is on visits) crack at her. Jim is a great recruiter and everyone says that one-on-one he is perfect. I am glad that when she is thinking about where she wants to go over the next few weeks, the thoughts most recent in her mind are what sort of a coach Jim would be and a great win over UCLA. Her "jig" after we won was really, really cute. It reminded me that she is a high school student and not "Robo Volleyball Player".

LOL. Alix Klineman is in Santa Barbara this weekend playing in the Tournament of Champions with her high school team. They played at 6pm last night...there's no way she was at this match.

Well, there was a very tall girl that looks like Alix Klineman sitting behind the bench last night. I did not talk to her, but she definately looked like her pictures on the web.

Here's the recap in today's Daily Breeze:
Girls Volleyball Roundup: Mira Costa sweeps tourney foes Top-ranked Mustangs roll through competition at prestigious Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions. Semifinals and final are today. From staff reports
Mira Costa advanced to the semifinals of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions with sweeps in the first and second rounds.
In the second round, Mira Costa (26-0) swept Torrey Pines, 25-20, 25-11, 25-9.
Mira Costa, ranked No. 1 in the nation, cruised past San Marcos, 25-9, 25-10, 25-15, in the first round.
"We just capitalized on offense," said Mira Costa coach Dae Lea Aldrich. "We were much bigger than they were. Our offense was too tough for San Marcos to handle. They couldn't stop our offense."
For both matches, Alix Klineman had 22 kills, 24 digs and seven blocks, Lauren Bledsoe added 13 kills and four blocks, Lane Carico posted 12 kills and 12 digs, and Kendall Bateman added 49 assists and eight digs.
Mira Costa will play Long Beach Wilson today in a semifinal match at 10:45 a.m. The championship match will be held at 6:15 p.m.

LOL, I thought HuskyVBFan was just kidding when he said Alix was at the game. Alix was in Seattle a few weeks ago at the Oregon/Oregon State matches. Kanani Herring was there also for a visit. I don't think Alix can have 2 official visits

It seems Jim McLaughlin agrees with Pedro. "Christal is a big time player and she can play at the highest level," said McLaughlin. "She is getting better and better, but she was just composed the whole night. She took a lot of swings and played well enough to break the dog-gone computer." This is from the huskies' recap of the match: gohuskies.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/recaps/102806aaa.htmlI wonder what they're going to say about it on FSN?

Maybe UCLA would have won if Meriwether had done anything. 12 blocks, yikes!

I don't think Alix can have 2 official visits I guess I am wrong about it being Alix, but I saw "Tall Blond" not "Short Polynesian". Unless Kanani Herring grew quite a bit and changed her hair and complexion, that wasn't her. Or did you mean Kanani Herring was there several weeks ago?
