I see Kentucky sweeping the series with Tennessee and putting Tennessee on the bubble. What is up with all the different Tennessee line-ups? Are there injuries or what is the deal?

I'm not certain, but with all the new players and their versatility, it looks like UT is still looking at different combinations. 3 sophomores and 3 or 4 freshman are seeing substantial play time now. No way KY wins in Knoxville. [glow=red,2,300]GO LADY VOLS![/glow]

Kentucky is not the same team on the road that they are home. They are 1-5 in league play on the road. UT wins in 4. To take it a step further, that is true of most teams in the SEC. Only Florida(6-1) and LSU(6-2) have winning records on the road in league play. The other 9 schools are a combined 16-46. Tennessee, at 3-5, has the 3rd best road record

So why exactly is that? Most of the crowds seem like a non factor, and none of them approach the intensity of a real basketball or football crowd.
I'm sure being in a familiar building has some effect, but (unless it's the cave with its "lighting") i wouldnt think it would be that significant, would it?...
Is the comfort / routine of being at your own place really THAT big an advantage over being on the road all weekend?

I think the league is just improving and as is the case in most sports, teams just play better at home. The crowd may not necessarily be a factor(though I know wherever Florida plays, they always draw the biggest crowd of the season), but travel, comfort in your own gym, home cooking from the refs among other things factor in to the home team playing better.

i don't know if this is a woman or a prepubescent boy doing the announcing, but it is the worst annoucing job ever. If you have insomnia, record this cause it will put you to sleep.
25-23 UK, timeout UT

34-32 UK takes game 3. They had Queen serving the final 2 points and she took UT out of system. UK up 2-1

The announcer may not be great, she's saying more than they are on the T-Tech match. The only 3 words you hear are Point Nebraksa (Red Raiders). At least this one isn't messing it up any worse by trying to be all dramatic like that Wisconsin kid. Just giving the basics isn't all bad, if the alternative is shouting unintelligible things that make no sense.

They finally called Nzenwa for carrying the ball. She does this all the time and they never call it. Glad to see the officials finally call it. She and Britenriker are controlling the match for UK. Stoyanova is doing what she can for UT. The passing hasn't been good for UT, so they can't get Blum as involved as they need.
24-20 UK, timeout UT

Kentucky does indeed sweep the season series, 30-25 in game 4. UT just had no answer for the UK middles. 19 kills, 7 blocks for Queen, 17 kills, 5 blocks for Britenriker. Stoyanova 25 kills for UT.
