ASU won game 1 30-27.
UCLA is up 22-11 in g2, and Ms. Nana Meriwether already has 9 blocks. How does this woman keep doing that? Wow.

UCLA will miss Nana Meriwether next year. She's been great.
Rachell Johnson (the other middle) has been a big disappointment this year. I wonder why Andy won't sub the other middle for her. Rachell is not a true middle and she's so awkward in that position. UCLA will be hurting next year for middle blockers.

But I also do wonder why he doesn't use Schoen. Rachell Johnson is only 5'11.

Meghan Schoen, yup, that's the one. She seemed okay when I saw her play. At least, she can hit the slide. Rachell does this awkward scissor kick when serving and hitting. She also has a tendency to drop her elbow when hitting. Rachell just seems out of position every time she's in front. And, she's a below average blocker. So just like you, I wonder why Andy doesn't use Schoen.

20-7 UCLA. It looks like another routing.

What's up with Elise Carstensen? After seeing her a few times in high school, I expected her to play more than she has. Is she hurt or just not progressing?

From gametracker it also looks like they've been using their backup libero, Kroneberger and has 12 digs.

Did UCLA let up near the end or did ASU put together a late run? The Bruins were way up on the Sun Devils. Just wondering...
