I was a pretty good setter myself in rec league. I can set a 31 lying on my back. ... and with both hands tied behind your back.... ;D

Brian Beckwith out of Hawaii!
can serve nails, hit from anywhere on the court, set from anywhere on court too, and puts up a big block!!!

Kehoe is not the best setter... she has been blessed with amazing hitters that can make things work with pretty much any set. I think either Courtney Thompson or Jackie Simpson are right now. Courntey not only sets great balls, but they are smart and balanced. She unfotunately is pretty short. Simpson has great hands and has turned a team without any real studs into a good offense. She is tall and very aggressive as a blocker and attacker.

There is no way that Simpson is the best setter. She is tall - that's about all you got right.

Whatever....she is a freshman and doesnt have the court awareness that Courtney Thompson has. Courtney has better court awareness, but Nellie has better hands and ball placement. Courtney has the winning attitude and knowledge; however, she doesn't have the greatest ball placement. It's very good, but not great. She is also probably my favorite setter in the country, but I don't think she is the best.

It always appears to me that Thompson never squares up to the ball when she sets it; her body is always open to the court even with a perfect pass. So if she is setting the left side, her left hand pushes more than the right. But that's just me.

what about setters who are the most fun to watch...
i think Main from OSU is real fun to watch out on the court. real fiery persona, a whip of a left arm makes her real involved in the offense, and a great jump serve.
Kamanao, one of the best parts of her game to watch is when she's on defense and digs up a hard line shot. and also when she gets a block. ya gotta love the short players who play big up at the net.

...in fact nobody even thought that i'd be able to get to the ball let alone set it where i said i was gonna set it and w/no spin on the ball <Blah></Blah> w/nary a spin then <blahblah></blahblah> my 6mo old nephew could set that and he does it w/no spin <blah></blah> You do realize that no/nary spin doesn't necessarily mean legal, right?

FWIW, I think some interesting stats to compare are on these two pages: Page1Page2You have way too much time on your hands to post this in two separate threads. I'll simplify for you..pointless posts. If you have nothing better to do than track two new posters you are a very sad individual.
