Thank you for correcting your mistake, it was disrupting my flow. ;D
And yes, I am well aware that when I point out spelling errors, I am just inviting trouble for myself.
So I will just end that here and say:
The Cougars ROOL!

Who gives a rats --- about Hillman? ALL THE BRAZILIANS AT BYU ARE PRO'S AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT! There is video tape of them playing floating around out there. There are witnesses that have actually played with them and against them in Brazil that have come forward. Passoa, Moreno, Paal from last year, THEY ALL PLAYED PRO. BYU'S 2001 Championship should be taken without question and they should be made to turn every win this year into a big fat L also. They have a better compliance office than Lewis and BYU's people are more confident that they can BULLY the NCAA and cover all this up. Well, I really hope all the truth comes out with BYU. There is a lot more than Hillman to deal with here, TRUST ME.

From the NCAA website:
In Division I only, if a student-athlete has participated as an individual or as a team representative in organized sports competition, that kind of participation during each 12-month period after his/her 21st birthday and prior to initial full-time collegiate enrollment will count as one year of varsity competition in that sport. Any participation in organized competition during time spent in the U.S. armed services will be excepted.
You may wish to consult with the student-athlete's current college's athletics director to determine exactly how many seasons of varsity competition he/she may have used. Please contact the NCAA membership services staff at 317/917-6222 should you have further questions.

I played against Joe in 1998, if that rule is true...he has played 5 years of club ball. I believe all, or at the very least 4, of the years would be after he was 21. Of course, who knows if that rule is superceded by what was mentioned earlier(the fact that you have to be enrolled for 12 credit hours). And who knows what the NCAA or BYU would figure out to get around it.
I would hope that nothing really happens, they have a real strong squad and are fun to watch. I would hate to see another NCAA team get the 'black eye' for the sport.

I agree, the past few years have been awesome and we've had some great volleyball, but there are alot of players out there that can prove that you can recruit good players that will not have any problems with eligibility. Saying that I still love my Lewis guys and if everything comes back.....gray.....like BYU is able to do, then it sucks that they didn't defend their title like they could have. However, the new boys are coming along just fine. I love the support that JR and Gustavo still give their team too. In the spirit of Good Friday, I do bid you all a great weekend. And go to church ) I know it's only wed, but tomorrow is the last day of school this week...YEAH !!!, so it's almost like the weekend )
