hmmmm, I see the big block.....I expect it to be the Amanda Gil/Mitty show on Saturday. They are very ready for a re-match. Amanda can not only hit over that block but tip around it anywhere her heart pleases......which is basically where no one else is. Mitty-Costa is a great match up and will be amazing to watch this Saturday.

Well... hitting OVER and HITTING over are two different things. In most cases, "over the block" means that you have elevated to a point that you are connecting with the ball above the maximum height of the blockers and hitting it down OVER their maximum hands.
This appears that she is just hitting over the block and the ball is still going up. Not the same thing.

Lets give credit where credit is due, that looks like a nice tool off the block by Dykstra as far as I can tell. High hands, nice job!

This Klineman kid -- any idea where she's going to college? Heard she decided to go pro. So that narrows it down to either USC or College of Southern Idaho.

How do you know its a block? Where did the ball go next? I think the statement was more, look at those 3 blockers, how would you like to try to hit through that block. Not necessarily, she got roofed. But seriously, how would you like to hit through those 3. Damn.

This is a great example of why the Rorschach inkblot test works so well. I guess we all see what we want to see... Back to the topic---I have seen AK and company as well as Mitty many times. It will be an extraordinary match.

I agree that the Costa/Mitty re-match should be one of the best matches this year. Gil is a great player, however, she is only 1/6 of the team. Anyone know what her jump touch is? Probably not important most of the time when you're 6'5 but, when the opponents have a tall front line, every inch counts! Both of these teams have a lot of very good players and Mitty racked up plenty of points in their first meeting (even though Costa swept).

One of Mitty's OH (a freshman) is on crutches. Hopefully, she would be ready for Saturday's match.

I read that Rachel Williams is out for the year due to a knee injury of some sort? It was in the Mercury a few days ago IIRC.
