Someone on another thread asked if "Angie Pressey" was the shortest to make AA as an OH. I believe Reyden Ahuna was the shortest at 5-6 to make All-American as an OH. Can anyone think of any other?

Christy Nore Liz Masakayan Nancy Hillman Somera Katie Haller If they made AVCA AA, it should be here: www.avca.org/collegiate/DIawards/05DIalltimeAA.pdfChristy Nore - 1st-1988 Liz Masakayan - 1st-1985, 1st-1984 - listed as 5'8". Nancy Hillman Somera - None. Katie Haller - 1st-1993, 2nd-1992 I thought Nancy Somera was about 5'8".

Hows about Kenyatta Lovelace from Hawai`i did she ever make all-American because she was listed at 5' 8...and if I remember correctly wasn't she freshman of the year in 1990?
Also Antonette White from Long Beach State was also only 5' 8. I'm pretty sure she made all-American as well, even national player of the year in 1991? Anyone can confirm that?

What I find so remarkable about Angie Pressey was how high she can get. She can even out-touch several of her 6'3" teammates (probably not Mindi Wiley though). I've seen several 5'6"-5'8" players playing at the D-I level, but never really anyone quite as impressive a leaper. Still - I never saw Elsa Stegemann play; she's said she's more or less an honest 5'8-1/2". I heard she spent a lot of effort improving her leaping ability after an she suffered an injury.

What was the name of the player from Washington State a few years back? LaToya or LaTonya Harris? Did she ever make AA? I recall she was a tiny OH.

She had a hammer and was a tremendous leaper, but she never made AA. She was left-handed too. Her best year was 2000 as a soph, with .261 hitting, 4.13 KPG, 3.14 DPG). Her volleyball bio dropped her height after she became and assistant coach. However - her track bio listed her a 5'7". wsucougars.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/mtt/harris_latoya00.htmlwsucougars.cstv.com/sports/c-track/mtt/harris_latoya00.html

Now we're really getting back there. Patti Snyder who went on to coach ASU was a DII player at Portland State in the late 70s who was about 5'4" and could really boing and bang.
