Dawg... you better check the the girlfriend's 2nd cousin's ex husband's great grandmother's aunt's sources... because mine are on the inside of this rumor. Check again before you blow your credibility or try to attack mine.

LOL!, Wild rumors, one of the guilty pleasures of reading this site. I have no idea if this is true BTW.

Whether or not UCLA has an exodus doesn't really matter. That team is loaded.

Jordan Smith is a walk-on who lost her starting Libero position late in the season. If the "mass exodus" is 4 walk-on, it is no big deal. Walk-ons rountinely leave teams.

GoBruin, thanks for the confirmation. However, I respectfully disagree that anytime you lose 4 players, scholarship or not, it's not a big deal. I think losing 20% of your team in one year to anything but graduation is a big deal. I hope those players find happiness somewhere else.

Well, then I guess it's 4 walk-offs. I don't think it's a big deal to lose these walk-ons who are mostly their as practice partners and won't see any court time. But Jordan Smith could have been the starting libero next season. Does the Bruin have someone else in line at this position?

She's like a 5th generation Bruin or something like that. If she is leaving, I wonder if she feels she won't win the libero spot over Machado.

So you're saying 4 people leaving from a roster of 20 is a bad thing?
That at would get them to at least a normal roster!

What's the big deal about players deciding to transfer?
It's their lives and their decisions to make regardless of how many of them transfer from a particular school in the same off season.
Not all players fit well with all coaches.
There are many players that wouldn't be able to deal with playing for a coach like Chuck Erbe (I refer to him because he isn't actively coaching) yet many players excelled with him as their coach.
A friend of mine played for him on the undefeated USC team back in the late 70s (77?) and she's had very good things to say about him as a coach and a person.
