Lazybones you are great! In between the games you will have to give us your thoughts on how everyone is looking---especially Mafua. It seems like she is doing very well.

Okay, from what I have seen so far, Mafua is probably a little nervous. But she does have potential. Her setting has been rough tonight but a large part of it I think is because of some shaky passing by Hawaii. Otherwise, though,
Gregory to serve, net violation Hawaii 27-23 Four contacts Wildcats, 27-24 Mafua serves, Houston gets a kill off the block and out #17 (Randy Goodenough) kill Arizona serves long Houston serves, Dominique Lamb kill off Houston Mafua mis-set to middle (I think that was meant for Gregory), ball lands on floor, game 1 to Arizona

Thanks ppl. Uhhh, sorry my thought got cut off, haha. Mafua is definitely a good volleyball; from what I can tell, she's been passing the ball cleanly and she's made some very good digs so far.
Her setting is a little shaky, like I said, and she's has a few bad connections to both the outsides and to the middles. I haven't noticed her run the slide yet with the middles but her quick sets are right on target. I'm kind of concerned about her outside sets, though, she hasn't quite gotten the connection with either Houston or Mason. But I'm sure it'll get better as the night goes on.
Rayna Kitaguchi and Raeceen Woolford are both starting for game 2; Houston, Mafua, and Gregory up front.
Houston starts off game 2 with a kill.
