From what little I've seen of her play, I'd say she is very advanced in the skills department and does alot of things well. Plus, you can't coach someone to be 6'5" and athletic, that's based on genetics alone.
If there's one shortcoming that I could see that was obvious, it's that she doesn't put a whole lot of pop on the ball and she doesn't look very strong. I don't think she'll be dominant offensively in college, but she'll be a good all-everything player.

If it's "in offensive" does that mean it doesn't offend you? And where is this "Irac" place anyway? Is it "un pleasant"?

Klineman can hit the ball with velocity, believe me she can. She doesn't hit as hard as Gordon or Willoughby. But she has so many shots, she mixes them up. BUt a year of weight training will help alot too.

Holiday Husker, not quite sure what in offensive means, please excuse me if I offended you, however I know that your smarter than that, I know that you know that I was talking in general, however if you found it in offensive as you say, Please except my apology. Point is at least let the young lady get to College before you all start pointing out her shortcomings, for lack of anything better to do. As Money stated he doesn't even really know her, and it was an observation. Judging on observation and it did come out as a judgment is never a nice or even acceptable thing to do. Don't you think that to much of that is done on this board and that we as adults,(if your an adult) have an ethical morel duty to not spread that sort of crap about people we know or do not know. Waste of time, and now I have been sucked into explaining myself by dignifying your comment with an excuse.

Again....Rose...this is a forum about volleyball....mostly at the womens college level. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and you of course have the right to vent if something offends you....which you did. The poster pointed out that he had seen her play and that was his experience. Many defended her character. You are going to have to get over it. All the top players in the nation including many of our Huskers have been discussed until the cows come home. Its the downside of being a superstar but its the way it is. Alex will have much more discussed about her for the next several years. She will just have to learn to cope.

The thing I find most interesting is that, with few exceptions, nobody really knows who is on this board......teammates? coaches, etc? do any of you really know?...so before you go popping off about "not really knowing the person" you may want to consider that YOU don't know who is posting....there are people out there who have been around this sport for a very long time, have lived in many cities and have followed VB for a long time at all levels, for all we know some of us are Klineman's next door neighbor and have a daughter who has played with her for many years...so above and beyond the right to post, (except for Vb Samurai)....people may actually have a real live experience with these VB players/coaches/refs/etc. Doesn't give anyone the right to completely slam anyone, (except VB Samurai...the ee cummings of Volleytalk) but especially a kid....and for the record I'm a Klineman fan.

Leave the kid alone! She's a high-school girl for crissakes! Wait... what? I predict she'll be burned out in a couple of years. When they've been playing that hard, from such a young age, with so much attention, it tends to not be fun anymore. ??

But come on, she does not hit the ball hard.

Wow.... Moneys posts got everyone excited didn't it. Most agree that Klineman is player with huge potential and sportsmanship but I want to remind all of you that Money is entitled to his opinion. That is what this forum is all about and is also what makes it interesting. Rose....I found your comments, especially the Irac reference to be in offensive also . Practice what you preach. I don't give a licht!

Yeah, yeah, yeah.....she hits the ball hard. So can I and I don't play. What matter is if she uses her "smarts" while hitting. Now does hitting hard make he a good volleyball player? I don't think so! To much ESPN for you guys. Bottom line is that she can play and is very good at what she does. Can she dunk? ESTRELLA
