Sandell is playing? Not really, right? She may not be playing much, however, she's in the player's list for The Dub.

Why wouldn't she be? Probably a brain fart; it was Magee who blew out the ACL and Armstrong who retired due to chronic hip pain. Minus a sprained ankle in the game against UDub in the AVCA showcase, Todd ended the season healthy. My buddy said Colleymore and Pressey are bringing the heat right now in their current game. Bombs away!

That last roster is wrong -- or the USAV is wrong.

That last roster is wrong -- or the USAV is wrong. Someone mentioned that earlier I believe. It's what the tournament site has listed for USA Red though. *shrug*

Sydney Anderson and Katie V are on the Red team, none of the others are. They are on the Blue team.
Red is playing well. Angie jammed her thumb last night and didn't play against Westwood. That really hurt. Defintely affected the outcome. She is an amazing player, didn't realize her defense was so good.

Hope Angie is ok and playing. We have been hearing back here in Berkeley that Angie was having a great Open....she can mostly do it all, including defense. And watching her do a stuff block at her height is always a hoot. Maybe she has had a chance to show that off too.

Hey, I was just referring to her first comment, Are they going to make the girls play more/ That truly will be an extraordinary amount of use put on their arms. I thought the USA was getting more educated about the use factor and how much one should play in one week? I hope that the Westwood team uses the rest of its bench, if that is the case, I also hope that the USA is spreading around the experience as well, this tournament is only about bragging rights, I strongly feel that taking care of the players is far more important. Isn't bragging rights what every competition is about? I would think that the US Open would be pretty high on the list of times to play through pain and injury! How much should one play in a week? I haven't seen that study. I'm all for taking care of players, but I thought that one of the reasons you take care of players is so they can play their best in competitions like the US Open! Boy you are quite the physiology major, and so well informed. Tell me, how many swings do you think would be appropriate for anyone of the healthiest girls there to be taking in a day? Then tell me. how many do you think they are taking including warm-ups each day. Then calculate how many that would be in a week. You have obviously missed out on a lot of current , recent, very well documented studies. by very big orthopedic specialist. Of course if we were talking about mens overhand sports you might already have read some of them Do you really think risking injury for bragging rights in the spring is worth it? What, do you play until an injury occurs from overuse, because your to stupid to know better? Maybe in the Olympics, or in the NCAA playoffs very acceptable, but surely not for bragging rights in this tournament. Regardless of the status of this tournament, it is only Spring. Please to not tell me that sacrificing the athlete at this point is in the best interest for all, and that you really care about the players.
