Print media are free to reproduce the list. But I don't want the content reproduced on another website. If you want to discuss it, please do so at Prep.
There's nothing wrong about saying Dayton is 22. I just don't want 1-30 reproduced or the analysis duplicated here.
Thanks for the consideration.

I recently joined prepvolleyball and enjoy the site very much. It is worth the money. I was able to archive the past few years of recruiting classes and averaged the rankings for the past three years. This is how I ranked the top ten or so programs over the past three years:
R: Team: '07 '06 '05 1. Stanford 1-9-1 2. Penn State 11-1-2 3. Nebraska 5-10-3 4. Texas 2-2-18 5. Purdue 7-13-6 6. Cal 25-3-5 7. Arizona 13-4-19 8. Minnesota 4-NA-4 9. USC 3-18-24 10. Florida 12-24-10
Other schools who have done well are: Ucla, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Washington, Hawaii, Colorado State, Tennessee, and Pepperdine.
I was not surprised by some of the rankings, but quite surprised by others. Some schools were hurt by not earning a top 30 class in one of the years. It seems as if the PAC 10 and Big Ten are doing pretty well with 7 of the top ten over the past three seasons.

Hopefully some more of the big 12 schools can start being on this list more consistently.

From the Big 12: Nebraska, Texas always at the top. Colorado is ranked and Baylor, OK, and K-State are on the highest Honorable mention, essentially the Top 45. It was mentioned that Baylor would surely be in the top 30 if JC's were considered so that bolds well for my Bears with a class ranked #16 last year.

I'm surprised by some of the smaller schools on the list, such as a Dayton, etc. Kudos to a conference like the SoCon with both College of Charleston (Dunbar's last class) and a small, under 2000 student school like Davidson getting mentioned.

Oddly enough, Michigan State is the ONLY Big10 school not listed at all. There were 8 in the top 30, btw -- with Iowa and Indiana not included.

It seems as if the PAC 10 and Big Ten are doing pretty well with 7 of the top ten over the past three seasons. Minnesota's composite ranking is also a little misleading because they only used the one scholarship last year, having missed out on Hodge and having planned on Florian being on the team.

Minnesota's ranking is not misleading. They did not have a great recruiting class in 2006. The reason their classes were so strong in '07 and '05 had much to do with the fact they had plenty of scholarships in those two years. It helped '07, knowing that there was nobody in front of those recruits to compete for spots. Certainly Minnesota has picked up some good recruits in the past three years. Not sure the '05 class merits the #4 mark.

So if they only have one scholarship player in 2006 -- the reason they were not ranked -- that does not skew _your_ rankings, in your opinion? I have no doubt you are not sure about the #4 mark. But, then, I happen to know why you are not sure. Oh, and nice theory about 2007. Since Dieter and Gibbemeyer committed 2 years ago, it's wrong, but nice theory.

Nice to see that MN has the top recruiting class in the B10. Hopefully, this will help the Gophers get over the top in the conference. Maybe not this year but in 08 and 09.

I don't know all that much about recruiting at the college level in volleyball, but I know that every school has reasons for why one class might be better or worse than the next year. That is why I believe Minnesota's situation is not "skewed". I believe Minnesota has recruited some great players from the Midwest - primarily Illinois and Minnesota. I just think if you want to make an exception for Minnesota, you can make another for UCLA, Ohio State, etc. This is not a knock of any kind on Minnesota, only that I believe all programs work in cycles. I did not know that Minnesota only had one recruit in '05.

I agree - Minnesota in 05 - you can't say the numbers are skewed. They are what they are.
I think the Big Ten is going to be tough from top to bottom. We are going to beat each other up. Have you noticed how many setters 6' and taller have been recruited by the Big Ten? And how many Middles are 6'3 or taller? It just boggles my mind. (and makes me feel short!)
