I was thinking today that Utah is SO screwed next year. Losing Krug, Anderson, Salvo and possibly Toone is going to really hurt them. What other teams might struggle due to graduation, injuries, or transfers?
I'm thinking LSU, Minnesota, and Cal.
Last year poor Arizona had it rough, probably because they lost 89% of their offense in Glass and Abernathy.

As a Cal fan, I saw them in spring ball. They looked great, except for setting. They, like LSU, will have a new setter next year, hopefully a hot shot freshman coming in. If the new setter is not an improvement over the sping practice setter, Cal won't contend, but they will remain middle of the Pac. The rest of the team looks balanced and very competent.

Missouri will have some troubles, losing Jessica Vander Kooi and Nicole Wilson, who accumulated a hell of alot of kills for the Tigers this past season. Yes, they have some nice freshmen coming in and have a decent nucleus back, led by star libero Tatum Ailes and OH Na Yang, but the frosh better be able to step up from day one. I'm really looking forward to see what Caitlin Vann has to offer, as well as Catie Wilson. A combo of Vann and Ailes could be very nice for the Tigers.

I agree that Davis might be tough for Cal to replace. She might have been a bit under the radar nationally, but she was very good. Still, there is still a lot of talent on hand, and Bears won't return to where the program was before Feller got there anytime in the foreseeable future. As always, Pressey will be an exciting player to watch.

The Gophers ought to be in the mix for the top 3 big(11)ten again this season.
It depends a bit on how long it takes to get the incoming players to mesh with the rest of the team at the start of the season. If they can get synchronized pretty well during the pre-conference schedule or perhaps even a match or two into the conference shedule they ought to have a strong finish to the conference season.
IMO: As long as they do well enough in conference and overall during the regular season they will make a good run in the NCAA tournament again.

as a ucla fan, i'm still mourning the loss of meriwether to graduation. they lose a chunk of their offense/defense with her gone. i do still see them going far (at least sweet 16) post-season though, esp. w/ spicer still running the offense for a couple more years.

I think UCLA should get thru into the final 8 at the least. Teams that may struggle as compared to the 06 season... Utah, Oklahoma, Missouri and Minnesota.

I will think that the Lady Vols will be in a world of hurt after Noble transfered to Ohio State. Not having an expereinced setter will set them back. ESTRELLA

Sometimes teams will rally and up their level after losing their best player. Daley and Sather are great all around players. UCLA will miss Nana, but I put my faith in a team that can pass the ball and have a strong setter. That might put them ahead of most the other teams with the obvious exceptions of Stanford and Nebraska.

Oklahoma is replacing five out of seven starters: one OH, two middles, one setter, one Libero. They have eight new players coming in. The season can range from a so-so start and a strong finish to a total disaster.
Its all coaching!
