As I predicted UCLA is in the middle of the pac-10 this year...they are going to walk away with two losses this week. They just don't have the offense to keep up with the teams above them...this is the pecking order of the Pac-10 this year
Stanford
USC Washington
Cal UCLA Oregon Arizona
ASU OSU WSU

Ok UCLA redeemed themselves...even if they lose in 5 they still got their act together. But something tells me that Cal's play went down rather than UCLA going up...Angie Pressy on has 5 kills so far. if that number would have at least doubled, which is totally possible considering she's better than any UCLA hitter, this match would have been over in 3. But credit to UCLA for taking advantage of Cal's sloppy play at times

i would take the space out btw UW and Cal, Then i would agree with you The game at UW with Arizona is going to tell me allot about our team

I'm really excited. sooo... what will the assumptions be -If UW demolishes Arizona does that mean we are better than USC and UCLA (Arizona pushed both of those schools to the max in LA) until we actually play them -If UW wins a close one to Arizona, the status quo kinda stays them same.. -UW BETTER NOT LOSE TO ARIZONA AT HOME....if we have to drop a home match this season it better be to Stanford and Stanford only, period!

If we wipe out Arizona then I think we are in process of being a very good team. It will mean that they are staying in system more and have longer periods of playing well.. Like the third game at Oregon. Im looking for them to start and sustain that type of focus at home. If we wipe out Arizona I think we are as good as or better than Cal , Ucla and usc. However a very close game or getting beat, we are going to have to work hard to beat the other good teams in the league, at home and on their home courts. It will be a free for all. Exciting but darn painful to watch LOL

btw husky recruit Bianca Rowland is out for most likely the rest of the season due to a stress fracture in her right tibia. Her team hopes she can return for post season play.
Bad news.

It's going to be intersting to see how it all shakes up and how the seedings go for the tourney... Judging by the preseason and current regular season, 7 pac-10 teams deserve the tourney with decent seeds. 2 Pac-10 teams should take a #1 seed and two should take a #2 seed. The 5th team in the Pac-10 should get #3 seed. The 6th team in the Pac-10 should a #4 seed and the 7th team in the Pac-10 should get a #5 seed... if it's anything worse than that the NCAA committee should be shot

I think that Stanford can well go through the Pac 10 without a loss. In fact the only chance I think they have of a loss, and maybe a slim one. Is when they play us at Hec Ed. You got to remember that Stanford's pattern is to get better through the year and peak at the end of pac 10 play and into the NCAA's. A function of outrageous talent and great coaching.
Everyone else will probably beat up on each other in their home courts

Speculate when the regular season is over....the cart goes behind the horse.

Stanford does have a remarkable way to peak at the right time. I remember the last time they won a national championship with Nnamani, they had a terrible start. Everyone thought they had no chance of taking it all. Given talent and an awesome coach, it's just a matter of time to get players to gel at a very high level.

They came up to seattle and was beaten soundly by UW. But by the time the season ended, we couldnt touch them... ie the NCCA semi's.. they really improved and we left our A game on the floor with Penn State..
