In response to Caliente21 and other's comments, that you are always going to have unhappy players, and you can't please everybody...
I think it is important to note that the unhappy kids on Cindy Frederick teams, are never the bench warmers who are crappy and are just mad because they are crappy and think they aren't getting a fair shake...That kind of unhappiness probably is normal.
The kids that are unhappy on Cindy Frederick teams are the starters, the talented ones, the ones who go to other programs and get happy, and in most circumstances move on to have great success...
I think that is what sets Cindy Frederick apart from other coaches, and the status quo, and I think that is what makes her situation different.

I don't know the reality, as I haven't been witness to her coaching, but the perception is certainly not a good one. Unfortunately, in this business perception really matters.

Perhaps some of this is unfair. What I posted was something that was available publicly and has been out there for some time. Regardless of what fault Coach Fredrick may or may not have in her departures, it probably was best that she left given the corresponding situations.

I am confused with all of this talk of Cindy Fredrick. Has it been announced anywhere that she HAS been given the UVa job?? I have not seen it, and I just checked, again, the UVa site and it is not there. Or is all of this talk on Cindy just because she interviewed? I would expect UVa to hire a person with more success than what Cindy has given to Iowa.

Her name came up as a candidate and people started discussing her pro and con. That happens.

It's all guesswork, based on someone seeing Cindy at the Wahoo bowl game, apparently, and the fact that a former Washington State a.d. is now at Virginia.

This was posted on Prep Volleyball today: UVA has begun the interviewing process. They are only interviewing females for the position. 4 candidates will be brought on campus, starting with Cindy Frederick who is there today and tomorrow. Erin Appleman will be next on Sunday and Monday. The team has not been notified who the last 2 candidates are at this time, only that all 4 are females. All interviews will be completed by next week. Why does a candidate interview take two days? Never mind. I hope it is Erin Appleman. Keep it in the family.

Another is a former Florida St assistant coach who appears to be about as cuddly as Cindy Frederick. I know several people who applied would be great coaches at UVA and they have great resumes. I have to say that this is a joke.

Who is Erin Appleman? I am having a hard time believing there were not some outstanding candidates for this job. Oh well, all the other ACC coaches are probably breathing easier. It sounds like AD Craig Littlepage must not care about volleyball.

I honestly don't understand how a school like UVA could consider Fredrick and/or Crockett (if that's true). That's laughable.

Slider...Appleman is a great candidate. Look a little further into her coaching background.
