You do realize that global warming does not mean that it will be warmer everywhere on the planet right? That it means drastic changes in some climates that could prove to be catastrophic? Of course if people have to flock back to the great lakes for fresh water and make Buffalo NY prosperous again like during the Pan American Expo era, maybe I won't complain.

Oh please. I think it was in 5th grade where we learned the difference between climate and weather.

Did I mention our ice pack on lakes approaching 4 ft..with a fresh 6 inches of snow ..
Polar Bears and Picas are doing well here.

Other than dodging TIMBER WOLVES the ice season has been good.
Our golf season seems to be lacking and starting later each year.

Yeah, Buffalo never has a really good golf season despite having a decent number of nice courses within driving distance. Waiting for that first day to hit the links.

I have been trying to get R to invest in my winter golf resort get away program for Northern Mn.
I post lots of pics showing warm sunsets and people in Bikinis.
Show our golf course beautifully manicured and groomed.
I don't mention we play in ice parkas..with snowshoes and pink golf balls.
we do rake our Snow traps after play how ever.
and par is 160 above normal.

Should I mortgage my house to make this investment? Otherwise, HA!!
Did I mention I invested $10,000 in a total market stock fund the week before I was laid off? Oops.

March 12th, 9 am.. sunny and calm. -12 degrees. It sucks to live in a global warming climate ..especially in MN. Well, if you are asking if global warming is real, then I guess my reply is that roughly 50% of climatologists think it is real/significant, and the other 50% think it is BS/very minor. Let's assume the worst case, that it is real. Then the ocean levels are going to rise and places like Manhattan and the Netherlands will float away. Now, I ask you -- is that all bad?

How many climatologists do you know? Because I know a few, and that's not exactly how I would describe the range of viewpoints of those I've talked to and worked with.

My father was one, and there are a couple in my department. So I don't know that many. But I do remember reading the 50/50 stat fairly recently. Maybe the stat is BS because we all know that so-called respected publications aren't that accurate. But if global warming is real, then cause may not be strongly related to increased carbon emissions. Maybe major factor is decrease in size of tropical forests, or cyclical nature of Sun Spots. I also tend to think that natural catastophes (like Mt. St. Helens) have a much bigger impact on global climate and much more catastrophic for us poor humans. Darwinism says that species are highly adaptive to minor changes in their environment, but when the BIG asteroid hits, we won't be so lucky.

"Darwinism says that species are highly adaptive to minor changes in their environment. "
That is not what Darwinism says. Also, your 50% figure is complete BS. (Other than that, you are batting 1.00.)
Speaking of Bill, I will repeat that, every night Bill looks out his window, and given the lack of light, he concludes that there is no sun.

You can't just tell us the 50% figure is wrong and not give us the correct figure. Easy to criticize....much harder to provide something constructive.
Also, since you are so emphatic, please provide the definitive source/sources for your information.
I will be waiting and have a response. Ball is in your court.
