Looks like the big 10 could be the strongest conference this year. Good finishes from UofI, OSU, Indiana, and MSU.
Looks like the top teams from the midwest/east are shaping out to be Illinois, Oshkosh, OSU, Lakeland, and VTech, with the next group being teams like Missouri, MSU, Penn State, Notre Dame, Marquette, etc.

Hoosier Illini finishes compared to initial seeds:
1 Illinois (4) 2 Ohio State (3) 3 Virginia Tech (1) 3 Oshkosh (2) 5 Lakeland (5) 5 Marquette (11) 5 Indiana (15) 5 Illinois-B (21) 9 Penn State (6) 9 Notre Dame (7) 9 Navy (8) 9 Michigan State (9) 9 Grand Valley (10) 9 DuPage (12) 9 Missouri (13) 9 UW-Whitewater (16)
Pretty good job of seeding if you ask me
Not a very good tournament for Penn State, with losses to MSU and Indiana.
Big up to Illinois-B for almost upsetting their A-team in the quarterfinals, that was the longest game I've ever seen

u can prolly also add illinois 2's to that list.
anyways, i wasnt there this wknd so i was just wondering who are players that stood out. also how did some of the new players on some of the top teams (freshman or not) respond in their first big tournament of the year? also of there was an all star game who would have been in it and who would have won the bounce contest do u think?

well, returning all-americans there included Lakeland MH Audo Omerbegovic and OH Joe Julkowski, Illinois MH Kyle Bittenhausen and Opp Kevin Deeke, Oshkosh S Nathan Sederberg, L Aaron Wayne, and OH Bill Meidenbauer.
There's a west all-star team
As for east, i guess you'd look to osu and vt

League season Results NCCVL- top 6
1. Cal 15-1 (26-3) 2. Davis 12-4 (19-9) 3t Cal Poly 11-5 3t Fresno State 11-5 5. Sonoma 9-7 6. Stanford 5-11
League Championships this weekend.
Fresno's young team has got it together finally. Only one loss.. this past weekend, vs all 8 teams. (only lost to Cal in 2).
It they keep going they will get some nice wins at Nationals.

Illinois B is a top 25 DI team for sure. They've beat way too many people not to be ranked on the DI list.

So after this weekend. I see the top 5 teams, regardless of division, as being: 1. Illinois 2. VT 3. Ohio State 4. Illinois B 5. Oshkosh My incomplete East all star team would be: Outsides = Ohio State Num. 6, ? Middles = VT24, one of the ohio st. middles?? Setter = Penn St. Setter Libero = OPP: VT?? West: Outsides: Joe Julkowski(Lakeland), Karl Miller(UofI), Blackman(Indiana) Middles: Kyle B.(UofI), Audo Omerbegovic(Lakeland) Setter: Michal Ashida(UofI), Nathan Sederberg(Oshkosh) Libero: Aaron Wayne(Oshkosh) OPP: Kevin Deeke(UofI) These are just some of the players that I feel stood out and make a big impact on their teams finish....

Illinois B is a good team but they are not a top 5 team in the country.

Illinois B is a good team but they are not a top 5 team in the country. My bad I meant top 5 teams at the Hoosier Illini.. I haven't seen any of the Western teams so I cant really tell you what my top 5 teams in the country would be. Did OSU have all their ex-d1 players starting/playing? No one but the outside(#6) really stood out.
