Big weekend coming up - Tulsa and SMU travels for matches at Rice and Houston Friday and Sunday. If anyone is going to slow Tulsa, this is the weekend. Lot of pressure on SMU & Rice IMO.

Agreed. Rice needs to show that pre-conference record was down due to the schedule and that the loss to UAB was a fluke. SMU needs to show that it is ready to play with the big boys instead of underachieving as usual. I think Houston is a bit of a surprise right now, so there is no pressure on them to perform. Tulsa just needs to keep doing what it is doing.

It's been a rough first half of the season for Tulane, but our freshman and sophomores have gotten lots of valuable court time.
Roll Green Wave!

Tulsa beats Houston and Rice loses to SMU on Friday. SMU loses to Houston today. Creates a minimum of a 2 game advantage for Tulsa. A win against Rice Sunday clearly puts them in the driver's seat. The rest of the league may be playing for 2nd.

Tulsa beats Rice in 3 (games 2 and 3 were "overtime" games) UCF beats Memphis 3-0 UAB over UTEP 3-0 So Miss beats ECU 3-0 Houston beats SMU on Saturday Tulane beats Marshall on Saturday also
Tulsa has a strangle hold on the league. To paraphrase everyone's most recent favorite poster - runvb - "I told you so."

From GameTracker:
Tulsa over UTEP in 3 - cruising to a conference championship. Huoston over Marshall in 3 - after Tulsa, Houston hottest team in conference SMU over UCF in 5 after being down 1-2. Mustangs seem to be struggling at wrong time of season. S. Miss over Memphis in 5 - S. Miss improving with each match. UAB sweeps Tulane - Tulane looking at next year.

Yes, as elevationvb put it, The Green Wave of Tulane is building for next year...having said that, I hope our conference gets at least 2 teams into the NCAA field. And if Tulsa is going to carry the Conference USA torch...I'm going to root for them all the way!

Tulsa continues its stranglehold on the conference and crack the Top 25 for first time. Most interesting part of this league is the race for positions 2 - 5.
