Stanford will be getting a very big commitment in the next week or so. Fitzmorris or Plummer?

SCVA Qualifier #3:
McKenna continues to improve and become more confident in the libero position. She didn't receive many serves because almost all the serves went to Ford. Teams were brutal today in picking on Ford. Chang a possible libero candidate also. Chang has a high volleyball IQ. She knows where all the players are supposed to be on the court which can be a helpful skill for a libero IMO.
Hodson was hitting mostly offspeed shots when I was watching. With little over six months until she is at Maples Pavilion it would be good for her to arrive with a fresh shoulder.
Plummer was dominating at times as a blocker. Floor defense looked good also for a tall player. She is exactly what Stanford needs on the right side. I heard today things are looking good for Plummer to Stanford. Of course, no one really knows until an announcement is made.
This will sound crazy. If I had to choose either Hodson or Plummer for my team for the next four years I would take Plummer. Plummer has potential for a very high ceiling.
Random stuff:
Sealy out and about scouting for talent. He wasn't around the TStreet 18s court that I saw which means he probably isn't in the hunt for Plummer.
Lexi Sun's parents must know every coach in the Pac-12. I saw her dad talking to Jen Greeny. Wouldn't that be wild if she ended up on the palouse.
I haven't seen Troy Tanner at SCVA tournaments this season. What capacity is he working with his TStreet club? He doesn't seem to have any involvement with the 18s team which is basically TStreet's flagship team.
I am starting to think Lindsey Ruddins is better than her older sister. She could start for almost any Pac-12 team. Lindsey should help take UCSB back toward the top of their conference.

Just spoke with Plummers parents this past weekend. She will be commiting to stanford as soon as her test scores allow her admission to stanford.

That would pretty much be my expectation also. Probably McKenna as the primary DS. Vanjak i'm not sure of, but if Stanford can recruit Sun in 2017, then she would be ok as a placeholder. 2016 is not likely a year Stanford could win the NCAA crown because they will be so frosh oriented. I guess we don't know much about Alade (from Canada) and/or Attar (from Florida in 2017). Are they potential LS hitters?

Hey, we haven't beaten the Imperial Dynasty in years (when it really counted). However, we know (and more importantly the Stanford coaching staff know) that if a new "dream team" can be assembled with the kind of talent no one has ever even envisioned we can and will send you and your Happy Valley fanboys back to Pennsylvania whimpering like little babies.

With this line-up, I'd rather have a pass-first L2 and I'm not sure Vanjak is the answer. Granted, not sure that Brown is either. But with Hodson, Lutz and hopefully Fitzmorris and Plummer on board, we'll have plenty of firepower. We'll just need passing to execute. For those who have seen Plummer, how does she compare to other 6-5+ opposites (Pavan, Licht, and Brokehuis of Nebraska, DeHoog of Washington)?

I'm going to opine that Plummer (indoors) playing RS (and not the setter position) should have a Kerri Walsh look and feel. She should be a very strong hitter, a BIG block, and have balls skills to set almost any type of set in an emergency (including one sets to the MB like Walsh did in the days of yore).

Is it okay if we play 2015 first? I think it will be a great year also.
