I guess everybody except Kipp needs to get faster and higher. Kipp was in really good shape and I could see she had added lean muscle since the last time I saw her. I don't know her exact age either -- she could be six months to a year older than Baird or Betty. Some of it is coordination and growing into their bodies. Kipp might be on a more advanced weight program or maybe she's running sand sprints at Corona on the weekends.

Since it's fairly stagnant (four days) here, I am going to "throw this out". Just watched the Stanford-Minnesota semifinal from 2016 again. Besides How Young they all were (and appeared), I noticed how clutch Fitzmorris was in said match: her versatility -- which has shown itself In Spades since then -- was FULLY on display as she roamed All Over the front court (her serving wasn't bad, either). Also noticed/remembered how clutch Vanjak was that day; she deserves kudos for being moved everywhere in the front (MB in '15, OH '14 + '16)! Without her replacing Hodson: who knows how that season -- let alone match -- would have gone. Merete Lutz Also deserves accolades for being Such The willing 'soldier', in her positional movements. My God, Dunning was put Into Such a situational positioning hole w/out H. Hodson. QUITE the amazing team!

What about Muir? Is she already relegated to back-up?

Cerra Jenkins just committed to brown. I’m very confused by this. From what I heard though is that she was waiting for Stanford but then realized it wasn’t going to work for her. Such a sad story. She is a top 5 setter in her class

She is a top 5 setter in her class I read she was being recruited by Stanford, Penn State, and Florida. She chooses Brown which I believe doesn't give out athletic scholarships?
Isn't she 2021? If so, what is the rush to commit?

Stanford doesn’t need a setter they need a pin hitter I can definitely see Sam Francis transitioning from MB to pin hitter, similarly to Kendall Kipp. She's already a primary passer for her HS team and looks good swinging from the pins. She could be a dominant player at 6'5''. Hope Stanford gets her.

Jenkins is a junior (2020). Xu will be Stanford's only true setter on the roster in 2020, hope she can stay healthy all year. I guess Fidelak can set if needed.

She is a top 5 setter in her class Why sad? I heard she is a top student and wanted ivy. Very good, but too small for top level 5-1 and definitely not top top 5. PV has 12 setters in front of her which puts her between 13 and 18 in her class. She is not that small, like 5’9 and jumps pretty well. She is far better than multiple of the setters pv has ahead of her. She clearly was not too small for a top 5 school because ultiple top schools offered her to committ. She is a top student but she wanted Stanford from what everyone connected to her club said. Stanford was pushed out of the picture when it wasn’t gonna work. She is very good and could start for Brown easily right now.

If she plans on transitioning it has to be soon bc she currently lacks fundamentals and fluidity

From what Im reading and from the fact that she chose Brown, it seems like she could've at least walked on to Stanford. If she were looking for playing time at a top program, why Brown??
