Tossing out another option, maybe McClure could transition to L? Obviously that is pending on the level of play from Kipp(OH/OPP), Fidelak(OPP) and the two current OH freshman; Baird and Berty. I personally would like to see McClure and Baird on the OH next year, and Kipp opp. Oglivie/Lougeay/Formico as L and DS(s)

Baird is a better pick as an all-around LS hitter assuming she makes the typical freshman to sophomore jump. McClure will be a crafty senior and she's already pretty skilled at tooling/tipping/junking around big blocks.

I wanna see Xu play!! So much hype and her highlights looked great. Should definitely take a redshirt year though if she can, because she definitely won't unseat Gray this year

I also like the idea of McClure at libero. Of course it won't happen because she is too valuable as a passing OH. IMO Formico is not the answer for libero.

By 2020 we will have Campbell (Junior), Vicini (Sophomore), and both Smiths in the middle. Love our depth!!
Not that we needed another OH in this class (2020) but I hope we have someone to replace McClure in 2021. Oglivie is a good candidate for OH2 but we she might be our libero as well.
Based from what was written here previously, our possible 2021 recruits will be a S/RS and an MB (who’s training as a pin hitter).

Great match for Stanford ! Plummer was unreal. Wouldn't be surprised if we saw an NCAA player of the week. Her floor defense has vastly improved which I thought was the weakest part of her game, so that was good to see.
McClure looked about the same as the end of last season which is good.
Gray struggled on back sets, slides and sets to fitz. She and gates really couldn't find a good connection.
It was really a whole lot of Plummer. Gray missed everyone a couple times, but she and Plummer were rock solid.

I thought the rule was as long as she didnt play after the first third of the regular season. Did they change that?

No injury = no playing time whatsoever to be eligible for a redshirt season.
