Has Plummer ever taken a match off due to injury? Kinda amazing due to her size, playing all the way around, and the amount of swings she takes.

If you think about how much they practice and the swings they take in practice during the week, carrying a big load in games isn't super straining on the body. It's not like she's taking 50+ swings everyday. They set her when they need points, she likely isn't getting the same percentage of balls in practice as she gets in games

It’s not amazing at all that she has never taken off or has had any sort of injury because taking 50+ swings isn’t taxing on the body week in and week out during season.

It was just a thought, Im sorry for offending you. Quick mood changes can be signs of a high stress level. Maybe a nap could put you at ease ?

A great night for Plummer, it was either seven or eight kills in the 5th, kipp looked good when she was in, 6 of her first 10. Formica served it in so yay. When fitz and the slide sets get figured out, it will be unreal Fitz and the slide is basically a bad idea given her back condition. I understand why they are running it, but the timing hasn't been good and I'd prefer another solution.

Training with the National Team helped and fortunately she didn't play in a lot of the PanAm Games matches. That helped to limit her jumps but it also made her hungry to prove that she should have been playing more. Plummer is having a Klineman or Nnamani-like senior year so far.

Do we think a Fitz injury/issue is why Plummer’s been in the OH2 spot three of the four matches this year? I’d like to see Fitz rest, and have Kipp play OPP, and Plummer and McClure OH1 and OH2, respectively.

The O2 plays two rotations in the front with Fitz in front row so she needs to pass since Formico won't be in. In the Florida game, McClure was O2 which is why Kipp only came on as a blocking sub once

If Plummer was meant to be OH2 so Kipp doesn't have to pass, then I'd think they would have done that in every match so far. The scoring run that Texas went on in set 4 at 7-7, with Stanford in rotation 1 should tell most anyone that McClure/Kipp as OH1 is not ideal. I'm aware how rotations work, but thanks I guess. My question was suggesting that since Fitz seems to be struggling with something, does it make more sense to have Plummer as OH2 in the meantime to take more of the offensive load? I believe it does, but I don't think it's their ideal lineup. Edit: No surprise, Plummer named PAC-12 Offensive Player of the Week.

I actually like Plummer as O2 with the caveat that they use her in the bic or D more. That way if they get stuck in the rotation McClure passes from the front, they have another option. In one of the first two games, Plummer was actually playing right back defense and was available for the D. I thought that was worth trying more

I just prefer her OH1, but my preference for that position is your most terminal left side - which she is, but to each their own of course. She would still be available in the back row if the three front row hitters aren't getting it done. My biggest issue, is why is she wearing black kneepads this season?? JK it's not an issue for me at all, it just seems strange, I'm only used to seeing Hentz and one of the Keefe's in black lol.
