Yikes, if the average visit to the site is only 7 1/2 minutes, most people must only be on here about 10 seconds for the average to work out. Because my wife is always saying "Why are you spending 10 hours a day on that stupid Volleytalk?"

It can't be a coincidence that the top three topic-specific threads are: Washington v. Nebraska Lauren Cook Leaving for Neb? Amanda Gil to leave?
Considering the two teams didn't even make it into the Final Four, it turned out to be a very eventful year for them!

I'm speculating that had the lord of Asgard not struck down the thread about a certain top 2007 recruit quitting the sport, that thread would have continued into 2010 and topped this list (except for the jobs threads). Within a week, that thread had 441 posts and ran 30 pages. I'm avoiding naming the player or the program so as not to resurrect an assuredly dead and, by now, decomposed horse, but y'all know what I'm sayin'.

i know there are a lot of people in new york, but that's a weird one. Business travelers checking in from NYC hotels?? That, or those whacky Niagara fans. Actually there is a very large number of volleyball players and coaches in the New York Metro area. Most of us are eithe rstill in school, coach at a school and are on the Jobs Thread or are just huge fans. New York also boasts one of teh largest vball leagues in the country, NY Urban Professions (really a rec league, no pros). This league features about 300 (+/-) teams a season, four seasons a years. There are also five other leagues in Manhattan alone, along with weekend USAV regional tournaments and weekend warrior tournaments. So it really shouldn't surprise anyone that one of the most populated cities in the Northeast has a huge volleyball folowing. Heck, we're having a volleyball championship watching party witha fundraiser Saturday night during the Court 4 Championships. Its the third year I believe and it has been successful every year.
