It seems funny seeing Keystonekid disagreeing with AA #11 from over 3 years ago. Some things never seem to change. Ruffa and Keystonekid know the Gophers and AA #11 is an expert on everything.

Now, why did you have to go and dig that up?
Play nice. We have a week to go and all energy should be directed toward positive thinking and fun healthy week!

I was curious of what expectations Hugh was facing coming to Minnesota. Names change but the game goes on.

You have to ask Ruffa or Dorothy about Minnesota's future. I don't think Hugh should be judged just yet because of the transition but he has big shoes to fill and the clock is running.

There is no clock ticking! He's made the Elite 8 and Sweet 16 his first two years in Minnnesota. His recruiting has been mediocre for Minnesota standards, but he still has one of the top setters in the country coming in next year, along with a few solid 2016 verbals, and he's going hard after Jolie Rasmussen from San Diego. He's sitting very well with some big-name 2017 kids (which is extremely important). Don't prematurely jump to judgement!

They face the same challenge the 7-12 top programs face. Its very hard to crack that next level, but the level behind is pushing hard to get into their level. Its ALL about recruiting. They've got a pretty good coach, I know that much.

Hugh is making a strong push for Jolie. Whether he lands her amongst other schools remains to be seen, but it does help that her older sister whom she is close with is a freshman on this year's Gopher Volleyball team. And it's not like that's the only thing this program has going for them in the recruitment of Jolie. She understands that it's also one of the premier programs in the country.
