Just for fun, what is your favorite soda? Sorry if I didn't list your favorite. Just listed the popular ones that came to mind.

The Title is obviously supposed to be "What is America's Favorite Soda?", not "What is your America's Favorite Soda?". Sorry about that.

Haven't had a soda in 20 years, although I was addicted to diet coke in college. The big thing here these days is getting Coke made in Mexico (the soft drink, that is) - supposed to be better than American Coke. Different sweeteners or something.
Tell you what, though, put up a poll on favorite wines, and I'll happily vote - more than once.

Washington, France, Italy, Germany. Not so much a fan of the Southern Hemisphere stuff or California. There are exceptions, of course.

I've been exploring Washington more and more - Columbia Crest Reserve Cab is spectacular, of course, but I just tried a red from the Yakima Valley. Winery is called Maison Bleue. Blend of grenache, syrah & mouvedre. Really good. But that's a whole different thread, don't want to hijack the soda pop subject.

The big thing here these days is getting Coke made in Mexico (the soft drink, that is) - supposed to be better than American Coke. Different sweeteners or something. It's supposedly the combination of the glass bottle and the use of real sucrose instead of high fructose corn syrup as a sweetener. I do remember drinking Coke in some countries where sucrose was the standard, and it does taste less sweet. HFCS is inherently sweeter than sucrose, although I'm not sure how it's balanced for sweetness. You can get Coke that's made for Passover. I know some people refer to it as "Kosher Coke", but Coke in the US is already Kosher. I think the HFCS is considered some sort of "leavening" ingredient as such. I've seen a 2 liter bottle of this at one supermarket.

When I was living in New York, my neighbor had a party and there I tried SKYY Vanilla vodka with Coca Cola Vanilla. Now that was delicious. Now when I drink soda, it's Coca Cola Vanilla.
