Unfortunately, it will likely be the death penalty of something close if the allegations are true because if true they were multiple infractions within a 5 year period. Can you explain why, given that, the death penalty would be "unfortunate"? Seems like it is well-deserved to me.

In an SI column, a former agent suggested that the NCAA make the compliance officers at schools employees of the NCAA and not the school.
It is an interesting idea to help address a huge problem.

Talking about this last night with my son. He thought they should be made to watch WNBA games as punishment.

He thought they should be made to watch WNBA games as punishment. Didn't Phaedrus just say that above?

Its unfortunate because the entire school and community is adversely affected by the acts of greedy individuals. Innocent students, alumni and community members because of these individuals.

I don't think the death penalty is going to happen. The infractions are very serious, but they differ from what happened at SMU. As of now, the infractions at Miami are from a booster. At SMU, there was direct institutional involvment with the boosters and direct payouts to players.

I meant to say Innocent students, alumni and community members will suffer because of these individuals. The same students, alumni, and community members who have benefited from the actions in the past? The same students, alumni, and community members who did not insist that the university take a stand against improper actions after the last round of sanctions? Nope, I don't feel sorry for them.

Nope, I don't feel sorry for them. but I hope you would agree that coaches involved in the cheating should be punished. I am specifically referring to the Kentucky basketball coach who has left 2 programs (UMass. & Memphis) in trouble and moved on to making millions.
