Meyer is choking, Chemberlain is out of control nobody else much of a factor.
IPFW is blocking well and might win game 1 simply because of blocking and BSU mistakes.

This is an ugly game of volleyball. There will be no winners in this one other than getting that W in the win column.

BSU wins 3-1.
Didn't see this coming.
I think it's more FW sucking than it is BSU's greatness. But what do I know!!!

Offensively, it looks like both teams were...offensive. The blocking looked good, but is that a product of bad offense? I tried to watch the BSU webcast, but technical difficulties prevented it. Maybe that was a good thing. SO, IPFW is 2-0 against Loyola and 0-1 against OSU and BSU. Tommorow night's match against OSU is even bigger, huh?

If BSU beats Loyola tomorrow, I'll say they are contender. But something tells me they will get blown out. Even if they do win they will still lose at Loyola, FW and OSU.
If OSU wins tomorrow, it's either OSU or Loyola for the crown.

Did you watch the game? Any specific insights? For BSU, Chamberlain's offensive numbers looked terrible. Meyer had 45-50 swings? How did they win? For IPFW, it looked like Macias had a ton of swings, and he had many errors. Service errors for both were high. Scores for Games 3 and 4 were blowouts. What happened? And, how did IPFW get the yellow/red cards in game 4?

WoW what a crazy fourth game.
So this is what happened...
Meyer served a ball at 7-5 to one zone which line judge called out but up ref over ruled him and called it in. Arnie went crazy and started yelling at the ref. Lundeen (sp) went up to ref and talked to him, which lead to Arnie getting yellow card. Once he got a yellow, he went to down ref and took the towel resting near down refs pool and threw it at stat people, which lead to up ref handing Arnie red card. Arnie went NUTSSSSSSSSSS and started yelling at the ref saying stuff like, come on is that all you have or something like that. Then on his way out he took the towel threw it on the ground and kicked it at Joel. Started walking to the locker room and came back said something to Joel and finally walked out.
Needless to say FW basically checked out after that.
CRAZY NIGHT OF VOLLEYBALL, ON AND OFF THE COURT!!!

Coach Ball didn't finish the match? Did he walk past the BSU bench as he left the gym? Any reaction from Walton? How about your take on the games themselves?

Im pretty sure Arnie also spit at Joel because Joel had to wipe something up. He also said a few four letter words, which i will not repeat towards Joel as well. Even though it was a horrible game for both teams, this is a good win for BSU.

if the description of Coach Ball's behavior is correct, there is absolutely no reason not to terminate his contract asap. A bunch of vb coaches across the nation would be let go with this nonsense and any AD worth his/her salt should sit him down and explain things to him, and send him on his way.
He is an adult, a representative of his university, their athletic dept, his team, and the game of volleyball. This simply doesn't fly.

Canning Arnie would be like canning Scates, won't happen.
