Once again thank you to volleyvolleyfan, Coach E, and sand for the updates and info. I for one am reading everything posted on this thread. It is unfortunate there is so little interest in the Volley Talk community about this tournament, but it is what it is. We have a big, maybe impossible, task to popularize the sport at the college level.
Coach E, it looks like some beautiful weather and nice sand. Great pictures.

Just landed here last night. Articles/slidehows to soon follow. Thanks to those who listed yesterday's results - most surprised at Croson/Lee as well as Uranga/Shaw. Only 1 will have the chance to redeem themselves on Sunday since they are pitted against each other in the first round. ----------- And, it's very likely that the team seeding order will be the final order come 6:00 this evening.

Pepperdine beats C of C , 5 - 0 The Beach beats Fl State 3-2 including a forfeit in game 2 by Ledoux/Roenecke to Noles' Teigs/Newgard. Reason: LBSU already won 3 other matches, and wants to save its energy for upcoming WAves matches. Corso and Gimillaro exchannged "words" post match!

I'd love to get on that beach, looks perfect for volleyball. As for Croson/Lee - when I saw them play in Hermosa two weeks ago, Jane looked tired and a little disinterested (to me, at least). She and Ashley were losing to teams they really should have handled. I wonder if she's overtrained shuttling between indoor and sand.

Corso and Gimillaro exchannged "words" post match! Knowing both of them, that comes as absolutely no surprise. I'm guessing it had something to do with BG sandbagging his lineup again?

What rules (if any) are in place to prevent sandbagging?

Pepperdine and LBSU in finals at 5:00 cst. The Noles earlier beat C of C 4-1 in losers braacket. And then the Waves defeated the 49ers. They then beat the Noles to emerge from the losers bracket. Lots of forfeits as teams try to conserve energy for the finals, as well as for tomorrow. The top Nolea and 49ers teams were all set to play the 3rd set when Corso called the match due to her team losing three other matches.

Maybe some stronger rules will be set for next season to minimize gaming the seeding of teams.
