I know for a fact that they cut out in the middle of a USA match that was then shown on prime time.
So, I really don't know how this is possible.
Were you able to watch the 100 dash live on-line? Gymnastics?

Gymnastics? I did not get to see the end of the Brazil match for the men, actually. I didn't think it had anything to do with prime time though? Though I suppose it could have. I have watched every gymnastics event online live (they even provided six different cameras that you could watch separately for the men, and four for the women!) and I have watched most diving and swimming medal rounds online live, also.

It did. They purposely switched it to non live beach volleyball during that men's match.

They showed the beach volleyball gold medal match live in the NBC app and online. I have no reason to believe that they wouldn't show this one.

NBC can't win. If they showed it live, people would be grumbling that it isn't shown during prime time. NBC is actually doing volleyball a service by putting it on when more people can watch it. Nobody watching in prime time is going to complain it was already shown live during the day. Last time, NBC showed parts of two sets that amounted to less than a set in prime time...

Saturday night's alright. (This isn't just a volleyball thing. Every swimming final was shown in prime time instead of live. So were gymnastics. This is what NBC does for the favored events. I can only hope they will show the whole thing, though.) Hardly "favored" if they end up showing well less than a set of action, as they did last time. More like "filler," it seems to me. If volleyball fans weren't so civilized, they'd be in front of NBC headquarters burning Bob Costas in effigy...

If volleyball fans weren't so civilized, they'd be in front of NBC headquarters burning Bob Costas in effigy... if this board is any indication of the civility of vb fans, bob needs to find his escape route. and fast...

Fortunately, I don't think the VT posters have the ambition to hunt down Costas. We are much better sitting at our keyboards. ;D
