Nice! That sounds like fun and they've earned some recognition. Hope they enjoy it. Is it just D-I team and professionals teams who get a chance to meet with the president after they win? That would be sweet.

The season was full of surprises.
Coach leaving a Top team mid year; NYU underperforming and then realizing its potential; Lakeland & Dominican having strong first seasons; Rivier defeating Springfield early not once but twice; A mass exodus at Stevens and they still have a very good year; The return of Wentworth to the top of their conference.
What is in store for 2015? I think more of the same

Is it time yet to start the D3 2015 thread?

2015 Final Four
Stevens - Can we say they return 12 starters? Juniata - If McColgin returns then they just lose Old Smokey and they have options to replace him anyway. Kean - Returns the entire lineup from a team that was 8 points away this year, and Middlehitter says they have been busy recruiting for depth. NYU - Two young talented outsides that just showed they can carry a team is going to be tough to beat if they can build off their late run.
OMG! No Springfield? No Carthage? No Santa Cruz? If I have this right the NEAC (Medaille) has an AQ, so one less Pool C bid, and the Midwest Conference - i.e. Carthage, Lakeland and Dominican - are joining Santa Cruz and Springfield for the Pool B bid, and I am not predicting how that mess will sort itself out.

You been hanging out with Old Smokey? Neac and Midwest conferences have a two year wait period for an AQ. By that time my guess is tourney will expand to 12 teams or so. Springfield, New Paltz, Naz, Carthage, Rivier, Santa Cruz, MIT will all be in the mix. Way too early to predict anything. Keep in mind not every school broadcasts their incoming class on middle hitter for D3. Some bold predictions but again too early to say a final four. You never know what matchups will arise come tourney time and who is playing well. I do think nyu is poised for a comeback after a few years of medoricie. They lose Mortland. If they can somehow replace him they should do well. Looks like a good recruiting class too

SC NP Naz MIT and NYU will have to replace key components. The tournament will not expand but there will be an addition to the Pool B candidates. ALL NEAC, Midwest plus Springfield and UCSC will all be in that Pool B group.
More surprises as the classes start to be announced but as many of us know the jump from HS to College is sometimes problematic

I wasn't sure but I thought the NEAC's wait was over -we've been hearing about them coming for ages now. I know the midwest doesn't get a bid and said as much.
Riv loses Almario and Bynon and could have their hands full with Wentworth next year. Naz... my kingdom for a setter, of course they could be back in the picture but I can tell you that they do not intimidate anyone like they did a few years ago.
MIT losses their starting and backup setters. That didn't go well for Naz. And Siebert was their top volume hitter, and he was a senior. That said, I thought they were done when Hohenberger left so they've proven me wrong before.
Ferriter could play kingmaker for anyone of these schools too.

NEAC has a bid next year. Rumor has McColgin not returning for 5th year. Ferriter potential transfer is HUGE IMPACT wherever he plays ball next year. Leaving Springfield out of Final Four is just foolish, even if it is out of "familiarity fatigue". Stevens Tech could be dealing with an overabundance of talent, and might even suffer from the popular "disease of more". Many institutions have big names to replace, mainly Carthage, NYU, and Elmira come to mind. As always, each season has its twists and turns that are unpredictable.

Re: McColgin at Juniata. While he was listed as a Jr., he has in fact completed 4 years of school and is graduating, so he will not be back.
So Juniata will be minus him and Ross Madden, the have plenty of freshman & sophomore talent ready to step up and plenty of proven talent returning.

Nyu wasn't too good this year with mortland and they are going to be better without him and capriccio?...Ross madden must be putting you guys on some bomb ass dank ish
Juniata proved 1 thing this year...they don't show up
Stevens tech will be the committees titties next year if tim goes there
Santa Cruz is a joke of a program if they were suny or cuny santa cruz they would have been out of top 15 instantly this year...but it's cali brah like enough already
Springfield always loses soo much and will never be as good as the past year...and then they win a national championship...so let's call a spade a spade it is silly to make an uneducated guess at next year's final four and leave the three time national champions out...losing oleary and ferry is rough...probably not as tough as falcone pelle every right side that played in the last 4 years among others
New Paltz hopes and dreams lie with the decision of tim...not to say they aren't a talented bunch but without the go to player with the same caliber of tim they will not be a national championship threat
Baruch wins the natty next year
