And that's what I am doing. You are the one crying out here. I'm stating program wishes. Same team man.
You must be the ONE actually part of the butt hurt recruiting team.

Someone missed their calling as a recruiting coordinator at TX Apparently, they also consider themselves the best candidate for the recruiting coordinator job at Stanford . . .

Your post tends to leave the opinion that you haven't done much homework on UT's 2020 recruiting class. Check out Melanie Parra. She has every skill you're wanting, plus has demonstrated it against some of the best in the world and not just against high school players.
Also be careful putting too much stock into high school accolades. Those are almost entirely based on the school season without any consideration of club play. Many of these are chosen based on stats and not potential at the next level.
The only player I've reviewed for 2020 was Iosia so you are correct; however, I've been to several games this year at home and away and the holes are evident. This is why I was focused on players with defensive ability as a hitter and obviously DS with offensive output. I saw Coach on several occasion be so frustrated with the defensive errors that he became so livid. The Rice game in first couple of set was an obvious one. He doesn't get animated much mind you. My posts are point out Texas area players, districts, and overall wealth of talents. If you read my posts, I outlined the criteria of intems of interest in players: the districts of high-level competition (ex N Dallas), top-level club players in Gold/Silver, and output (game changers for high-level hs and club). Go watch the quarterfinals in the State match up in November in Dallas and you will see how much better the plays are than the UT/Tech game as an example. The errors are less, the kills are more powerful, serve receive are better, serving is better, etc. The major difference? Overall height! That's it. Just watch and you will see. You really need to take a look at our class coming in cuz there are some amazing defensive players coming.

Iosia and Parra are two names that stood out. I know of the local girl too. Any other?

There's only one on that list that score consistently. I know the concept in so far fetched. I was hoping for at least 2 game changers that can defend and score. Aim high...

There's still an outside shot at getting Milner. You have to think Fields will make strides from her freshman to sophomore seasons. Let's not forget the potential for a transfer to come in as well. This recruiting class is strong. I would say Parra is probably the most far-along recruit Texas has had in a very long time. She's the total package and has already excelled playing at a faster level (internationally) so I don't think her transition to the college game will be tough. This puts pressure on the DS's as I'm sure Parra will be ready to come in an immediately pass and defend.

Alright, I’ll take a stab at this since we’re calling out individual recruits in relation to this Baylor match.
Micaya is outdigging Pressley on the season. Sydney is outdigging Wulf on the season. Texas blocking has improved almost half a point per set since Brionne began integrating into the lineup.
Our defense isn’t the best in the nation, but it’s coming along better and better each match- all while maintaining the best offense in the nation. Regardless of who we recruited and why, Texas has put together a pretty complete team this season with both OH’s playing all the way around and not doing a bad job.
Baylor is having a lights out season, but Texas isn’t slouching around like you’re making it out to be. I expect a tightly contested match with two of the best teams in the country. No use parsing shoulda coulda wouldas from a recruiting standpoint- we have the players we have, regardless of The Who, what’s, and why’s, and the results have been pretty solid.
Lastly, a lot of the ‘issues’ being discussed re Texas defense have been addressed with future recruiting classes. There’s zero incentive to load up on all 6-rotation players in the college game with the number of subs, and Texas is doing better as of late in balancing that. Still, even when Texas has focused more on big bangers, the results have been a championship title and a string of final four appearances that are comparable with other elite teams. This ‘we should have offered this girl or that girl’ is nitpicking when considering the teams we’ve been able to put together.

eotexas5 and hornshouse23 - thank you for an actually thoughtful response. That's all I was hoping for - a different point of view. I have this wish of a player(s). Players that are defensive studs and offensive firepower. Yes, those players exists.
I've seen for the past couple of years (not just at Texas) of how poorly OH pass from the back row and I'm wondering why teams keep putting themselves in this situation (that's why I suggested the type of players from past and current). I look forward to watching Iosia (serving on another level w/other Texas player) and Parra next year.

We aren’t going to have any trouble scoring next year with Eggleston, Butler, and Fields. I think adding the defense/passing of Iosia and Parra is exactly what we need for next year.

I have a point for everyone here...whose to say Texas isn't recruiting these all around players currently.
Regarding the "misses" on Pressly and McGhee, I understand both as Sun was literally the #1 recruit and much farther along than Pressly was at that time, and Molly was considered by many the best MB in the class. This brings me into the next point...
Is it inferred that if you live in Texas (or anywhere for that matter) and UT recruits you it is an automatic grab (actual question)? Just because UT hasn't gotten these crazy good ball control outsides doesn't mean that they were't recruited by UT. Im not even a Texas fan but until I see actual evidence that UT hasn't recruited "complete players" the Texas recruiting criticism can stop.
