Grove City College (DIII, PA) has posted for full time Head vb coach/ assistant track coach. But the job doesn't start until July, 2014. So if you take the job, you can't recruit for this year, and if you already have a job, you are just a lame duck for the next 6 months - unless you can quit and not get paid until july. ncaamarket.ncaa.org/jobs#/detail/5846267

Several of their coaches (including assistants) do hold PhD's, probably all teach in the health sciences or phys ed.

University of Mary (DII, ND) posted their HC opening.
Nice that they added this to their ad: "The team has the NCAA II max equivalent of full scholarships and has a full-time assistant and graduate assistant coach."

How does one telecommute to a coaching/teaching job? I believe this is done so that a coach can start recruiting before coming to campus--during the transition from old job to this one. I suspect they're also putting it there so that a coach can do work at home/away from the office. I've known some private sector companies that are clamping down on doing work away from the office--so this may be put in by the school's HR people.

Ga State made the Sand assistant the head coach of the sand program, so will Tami's replacement still be involved there or is it just indoor volleyball?

Georgia State originally planned to have completely separate programs for sand and indoor. Did some of the GSU players do both last year?
