Mystery Road Australian TV show. Liked it a lot. Stars Judy Davis as a local town cop and Aaron Pederson as an outside detective who try to solve a missing persons (and possible murder) case. Supposedly the Australian version of a True Detective-style TV show. Not really.

Barry is imagining a pool party at his imaginary mansion. Jon Hamm: Can I take a shiite in your house? Barry: We have five guest bedrooms. Take your pick. LOL!

I finished Dead to Me, What/If and Slasher season 1 on Netflix in the past couple weeks. Will probably watch seasons 2 and 3 of Slasher, but then I'll be looking for something else. May have to check out some that have been posted here.

Breakout Kings (s1) Watched the first 4 episodes and it seems like another Criminal Minds to me. Group of specialists, including one computer expert who gathers data online, tries to capture the bad guys. In Breakout Kings, the bad guys are fugitives who're on the run after escaping from prison. In Criminal Minds, the bad guys are serial killers (or potential serial killers). The methodology is the same: following leads and analyzing behavioral profiles to hunt them down. Not sure I'll watch again but I like Jimmi Simpson. He is slowly becoming one of my top 10 favorite actors.

Barry is so EFFing funny in an I-can't-believe-this-shet-is-happening uncomfortable kind of way, especially after Taylor joined in. That dude is a loose cannon and Barry, with no social skills whatsoever, doesn't know what to do about him.

I just started the Handmaid's Tale, and I'm enjoying it.

Finally got my wife to watch The Wire (s1). I had seen it before and was constantly promoting it to her. She finally relented. She was not impressed with the first episode but we continued. Only when we got to the scene where Prezbelewski broke the pager code in the 5th episode did she finally get into it.

Bones is my current favorite show. I just got back into it. I love the dynamic between all the characters.

The Wire (s1)
So funny how "normal" and "accepting" it was for the police to beat the crap out of suspects. It was illegal back then but it didn't stop them. There was one scene where the detectives were interrogating a suspect and the suspect was mouthing off. Finally, they left the suspect alone with Detective Kima, the lesbian detective, and all he did was call her all sorts of derogatory lesbian cusswords in response to her questions. And they had enough of this guy, so they turned off the camera to the interrogation room where they had this suspect handcuffed and Kima and two other detectives just wailed on the guy. I know it's not funny in real life and I'd be shocked and appalled but in this scene, I was in stitches.

People lip off to the wrong folks at the wrong time and suffer the consequences. "Wrong."

Is Counterpart any good? Heard it got rave reviews. But it was cancelled recently. I hate shows that end on cliffhangers or storylines that are never resolved because it ended prematurely. I know that happens all too often but I still never like that. Still, is Counterpart worth watching?

I've loved many TV shows and movies that critics and/or viewers hated -- and vice versa. And you won't know if you'll like something until you've watched it for yourself.

But my time is valuable. I'm not retired so I don't have the luxury of plenty of spare time to watch everything I want.
