For the speculation on Kira Larson's height; Here is a lift from the Husker's 2013 team's schedule poster. Shot on a level floor - you can follow the brick lines to compare heights from the the girls shown. Kira is #15 on the far left. With the Huskers only loosing 1 starter (Robinson), it will be interesting to see how they use Kira, and at what position. Attachments:

If Amber really does stay on the right, I think Annika Albrecht will be Nebraska's OH2. I've never seen her play, what separates her from Maddie Haggerty? There are a bunch of Youtube videos of their SPRI team playing that you should check out.

Here are some videos of Albrecht #79. Great platform and defense, but I don't think she plays very high above the net. However, considering the setters she's had the past two seasons, she hasn't really needed to, and her excellent range, shot selection, discipline, and court sense absolutely makes up for that.
This one is from last year at President's Day (with Carlini, Maddie Haggerty):
This one is from last year at JVA World Challenge (with Carlini, Maddie Haggerty, and Minarick):
Last year's AAU finals against KIVA (with Carlini, Maddie Haggerty):
This one is from GLPL a couple months ago (with Minarick, Molly Haggerty):
And this one from the last week of GLPL for first place (with Minarick, Molly Haggerty). Setting for Fusion on the other side of the net is PSU recruit Bryanna Weiskircher:

One thing for sure, Nebraska is not feared like the Huskers once were. They will be good in '14, but good like 3rd to 5th place in B1G.

Whoa! 6 returning players at 6'3", one at 6'2" and one at 6'0"! Incoming freshmen: one at 6'2", one at 6'1" and one at 6'0". Height will not be problem for Nebraska 2014. That's why I call them "my Nebraska Tall girls" in conversations/emails with non-VT friends.

He actually measured at 6'7.5" at the NBA pre-draft combine. Dwight Howard measured at 6'9," and he's listed at 6"11." And so on. There often isn't much official about official heights.

I see Penn State starting off slow but ending the season very strong. I think Wisconsin has a good chance at winning big 10 too. (look at those videos above, Carlini is soo good)

I don't think next year, but the following years she definitely has potential. What? She was a Second-Team All-American as a freshman, but she won't be one of the best outsides as a sophomore? That makes no sense.

She was a THIRD TEAM AA. And I'm the one who makes no sense? She will have to compete with megan courtney, haley eckerman, krista vansant, alexa gray, samantha Bricio, jordan burgess (who should of been at least third team but wasn't eligible because her region has some of the best players). She definitely has a shot the following year, but IMO next year, she won't be one of the top OH

Burgess wasn't eligible, and Courtney didn't even make HM All-Region. Rolfzen was recognized as one of the best outsides last season. What about her freshman year leads you to believe that she won't be one of the best as a sophomore?
