Anyone want to take a guess as to when she's going to transfer to Pepperdine/USC and play sand exclusively?

Questioning the comment about Courtney and her back row skills. She was third after Dom and Deja in both serve receptions and digs while playing double digit fewer games than Dom and Deja.

Lacey will be tough to replace as she brings the unique quality to the court that improves the energy level and enthusiasm.

Anyone want to take a guess as to when she's going to transfer to Pepperdine/USC and play sand exclusively? Well, I'm surprised she ended up at PSU. I wonder what happened with her at UCLA and what her reason for transferring was. Her decision had to have come after or during the sand season right?

I have a feeling that Skylar will remedy that during her time at Penn State. Just call it a hunch.

Wow, former California Gatorade POY, sounds like a terrific athlete. Too bad things didn't work out at UCLA but, with Gonzalez and Fuller in their final year, she gets to come in with a chance of playing a lot in 2015.

It's about 2015. Nobody's going to beat out Gonzalez or Fuller this year. They were really, really good the second half of last season. Terrific play but also terrific on court presence. Their leadership is really critical now with so many freshmen coming in. And Fuller has become one of the best servers on the team. Are any of them gonna see playing time as a libero. Gonzalez is gonna have that one spot unless someone plays ridiculously better then her. She's a senior that's already helped them win one. I think that secondary spot with fuller is the one they're all gonna be competing for

Agree. Courtney is on track to be a fine back row player. This is the year she really has to step up. People forget how much McClendon had to learn about serve receive her soph and junior years. It's one of the hardest things to do in all of volleyball. Maybe the hardest thing. Questioning the comment about Courtney and her back row skills. She was third after Dom and Deja in both serve receptions and digs while playing double digit fewer games than Dom and Deja.

Personally, like her sister, Lara, I don't think Dykstra is a game changer in the backrow. Perhaps she can use this season to really catch the speed of the game, and she'll be in a more talent heavy gym to get those skills, but she's not gonna see court time this season and there is little reason to believe that out of 6+ L/DS on the team, that she is the heir apparent. It is interesting that she's heading all the way to happy valley, but best of luck to her. I can't imagine she's scholarship though, at least not this season, mom and dad must be generous to foot that transfer bill

I don't understand why Penn State fans are so excited about picking up a player who couldn't get any playing time with a very mediocre UCLA team last year.

I don't understand why Penn State fans are so excited about picking up a player who couldn't get any playing time with a very mediocre UCLA team last year. Its because she's a good player and has mass potential. This is why ucla was mediocre. They're coaching is just bad. They win a nc and the next two years they don't make tourney. That's bad. I understand teams have off years but ucla should make tourney every year. Rose is one of the best at getting players potential out of them and I think she will excel at psu. Although I think it will start next year. Gonzalez will be starter here senior year.

Sometimes players just need right coach to excel. We will see. If rose and Rockwell can't get it out of her then no one will and you would be right ucla but I'd bet on the opposite

Any rumors about Penn State starting a sand program?
