Don't I smell the continuation of the Nitty Lion dynasty? Lion Pride is alive and well. They seem to thrive on competition and challenges. Skylar seems to fit the mold of all her teammates. The B1G will have the best overall talent it has ever had and will be fun to watch.

Don't I smell the continuation of the Nitty Lion dynasty? Not sure if this was TIC; if so you could have referred to them as Knitting Lions instead of Nitt(an)y Lions. As for Salima, I will say this, I never saw Russ crack a smile at anything an assistant coach said except for Salima. If there is a better duo, maybe even trio, set of coaches in WVB, I can't think of who they might be. Penn State has been blessed with a succession of gifted setters. Their natural talents have left little need for improvement from a coaching standpoint. I can say that having watched Alicia Glass during her four year span, her setting abilities regressed slightly after Salima left for Texas. However, as mentioned, she was surrounded by exceptional talent at all positions. Rebuttal welcomed.

Penn State I like after seeing Hodge and Glass play for 3 years. Was also a fan too but ever since they left I haven't kept up with them. But its good that the big10 is getting good with the competition. Wish them another successful year.

So as to not start a new thread, I heard that Penn State just hired former Cal AD Sandy Barbour. I know a lot of Cal supporters didn't like how she left the revenue sports programs, but I thought she was pretty good as a fundraiser and she was a strong proponent of the nonrevenue sports, including volleyball.

Sandy is a very good fundraiser. Hell, she got me to cough up, which probably makes her more than just good. Some criticism leveled at her during her tenure at Cal was valid, but much of it was unfair. But I agree, she was very good to Olympic sports at Cal, including Feller's program.

I see talent everywhere and once they get experience, fans should be prepared for a very successful season.

You would love anything they put in her bio. If she said she went to penn state because they have better toilet paper you would love her comment.

You are probably right. I like Penn State and I like people who like Penn State. Now I will say something ridiculous like "I think Skylar will be an AA before she graduates." BTW the bathroom tissue at Penn State is a quality brand, not that cheap crap you find some other places. Just saying.
I haven't met Skylar yet but when I do I will be sure to ask her opinion on the bathroom tissue and get back to you. I hope you are having a pleasant day.
