Sean has failed to control 3-4 shots and one ball driven right at him. They transitioned and scored on two of them, but he needs to be more precise

Prudel's 1.91m (6-foot-3). I'm 5'10 when I'm around tall volleyball guys I feel like a midget must feel around normal sized people. I think indoors some of them are like... 7'5 and crap.

I retract my previous statement. Phil needs no help! Five blocks in this game already

That's the first time they best them in the last 3 times uote author=" kokyu" source="/post/1160318/thread" timestamp="1406499361"] It's amazing watching the 6'1" dude side out every time!! Fijalek has a cold/allergies or something - working on kleenex during breaks. but still digging & siding out well until the last game. quick to the cut shots but not to the jumbos.
had to look it up for the right details.. the poles beat gibb/rosi @ london olympics

What an amazing event. Man, Geeter fired up everyone there today. The Raiders down chirping Fjalek got into his head, he flipped them off when he went back to serve, I dunno if that got caught on TV. Also flipped them off whenever he was showing signals to block line, he did it with his middle finger, hilarious.

Thats what it sounded like on the stream. Very Sinjinish hands from the larger one

Beach volley....one of the very few, if only, sports where the women get the preferred air time/coverage...
Great to hear Geeter was rockin it!
Rosie's Raiders just probably torturing the poor Poles with their classlessness as usual...

"Competing in their 16th FIVB World Tour event together, Dalhausser and Rosenthal have now collected eight medals with the ASICS World Series of Beach Volleyball title being their sixth international title in their partnership. One of the American’s gold medals was achieved last season on Alamitos Beach where Dalhausser and Rosenthal defeated Spain’s Adrian Gavira and Pablo Herrera in two sets. With a 42-7 match mark this season with 27 wins in their last 28 matches, Dalhausser and Rosenthal have a 78-15 record together as the Americans are now 6-1 in FIVB title matches."
Not too shabby..

The Poles had really been coming on recently with 13 straight match wins and last week's final. The second two games of the final felt a lot like a dominant team restoring order, especially Phil.

Phil just had emotion. Well at least more than he normally does which isn't much. I think it was from the home crowd. He should play a little more fired up, not to much but enough to go hard more often. He served and blocked really well

Just got home from Snowmass and excitedly put volleyball on after tivo'ing to watch the mens.
Got to watch the girls final and also the.....3rd place match?
What a bunch of garbage.
That is just unbelievable.
Right when it looks like they do an event right they miss the biggest moment of the entire tournament.
Just a big fail.

Just back from L.B. and have PLENTY to say, but as for NBC skipping the men's final, well, go back to Econ 101 and read your "supply/demand" schedules...Fortunately for Kerri, She IS Beach Volleyball in the "top of mind" of the sports consumer who ventures into our sport. For whatever multitude of reasons, she is/was marketed properly and the men, not so much. OF course, 3 Golds and an "inevitable" 4th probably don't hurt either ; - )

Not really. Maybe two points where I would've called it and the ref didn't. But the crowd didn't react in any big uproar.
