What has happened to Brazil? Do they even know what they are doing over there. voleiazzuro, please explain to me what was said during every timeout in the Brazil huddle. I think it is time for Jaque and Dani Lins and Thaisa and Fe Garay to hang it up. There is no way with a performance like this they will even medal in Rio. Scrap whatever system they are running and go back to what worked in '08 and '12. You only have 2 years left until the Olympics. Now is not the time to experiment. Did I see a defender in middle-middle, and not playing shaded to the right on that one Turkey hitter, who always hits there? 12-1 in aces? Do they even practice SR? Or maybe it is just jet lag. Ridiculous. Yes, let's get rid of one of the best middles in the world who is still under 30. Two phenomenal outsides, one who is still bouncing back after a year off, and an experienced setter. Makes complete sense to me!

Turkey vs Brazil starting in 20 minutes. Hoping Sunderland's on one of the streams. Predicting Brazil in three or four. We are all waiting for your expert analysis on Brazil? They won all nine of their prelim matches so you can't expect them to have a perfect record. Brazil's passing and ball control broke down with Turkey's high quality serving, Lins subsequently also had the worst performance in the first two sets I've ever seen. Thaisa only had five kills because the poor passing took her out of the game, Ze subbed in Carol for her and brought five blocks, really good service runs/pressure, but only had two hitting attempts, one kill. Gozde was lights out with 22 kills and 49% clip. There were quite a few times I thought Lins should've gone to Thaisa out of system before Ze took her out. Since she didn't her pin setting was either poor or faced really good blocks. If this were a must-win match in Rio, would've been the time to move Thaisa to opp a la Muserskiy.

Lauren plum would lead any team, from any country to a gold medal. But the USA needs her. We can't let anyone take away the best setter in volleyball history

TomKom's the best setter in history, the only area she doesn't beat Plum in is extreme out of system plays.

Great match with Turkey winning in 5 against Brazil. Glad that someone beat Brazil. Brazil's A team was asleep at the wheel (Sheila has been playing flat most of the Grand Prix) It was great to see the new players, Gabi and Carol come out and play well. I was surprised with Tandara she can be either hot or cold but she played like she was on fire. With Brazil having a great team now and as the older girls phase out in the next few years, Brazil has a very talented group of younger players who I believe will step into those shoes and continue their reign as being the best team in women's volleyball. I give Turkey a lot of credit. The were up 2 games to 0, lost the next 2, but was able to figure things out and win. If their hitters could have just pounded the balls in, instead of out, the could have won it in 3. Several good young players too.

Hope Sunderland's ok, he's been having to leave the commentary and sounds like he could be sick.

I have not watched any of the final round games. Can anyone comment on how Japan is playing? Is the team playing exponentially better or just playing against teams in their bad days (e.g teams making unforced errors)? Just very surprised to see Japan beat both Russia and turkey -2 teams they lost to earlier.

Japan has been serving and defending very tough, playing fast and the biggest factor may be playing in front of 10,000 passionate fans every match. They are really playing off the home crowd's energy
