so we are having a lot of talk about, the HBC 18s team this year, but who thinks the biggest threats will be in the earlier stages of recruiting (U15/ U16)
Any clubs this year that will be big?
What about players?

I for one am really looking forward to watching Ian Sears from Spectrum U16s play this year, devastating upset at BJNC when they lost to San Clemente, but the year before he really took over and led to a the Bronze Medal, and for U15 Kyle Yoshimoto also played for the U14s Spectrum team that took Bronze in Open and Kyle can fly (36 in. vert for a 14 year old wow), but he isn't playing for Spectrum anymore he is playing for a newer club this year called VCVC (Ventura County) who's 18s team last year had Zach Eschenberg and Jackson Hollister, so that u15s team might be big this year!!

What other 16s teams do you think could be a contender to win gold?

They're two new clubs in Hawaii, Sting Rays 15's, and A'oa Koa 16's, both teams will be very competitive. The Sting Ray's have 8 players from last year's 14 open Champions Ka'ulukoa, and A'oa Koa has 30 boys playing for a new club affiliated with Charlie Wade and the University of Hawaii Men's volleyball program.

Looking forward to watching some matches on Saturday.
There is no VCVC 15 Team competing. I don't think there is going to be a Balboa 15 team this year.
It is odd that I do not see Pali 15 competing the first day of this long tournament but now they are in there and have a 30 seed. Maybe I missed them from the first day?
Balboa 16 is competing in the 18s in this tournament. HBC 18 is in their pool on Saturday.
15s MB Surf 15 is the highest seeded 15 team at 9. (Finished 5th at BJNC 14s) 949 15 is seeded 11. (Finished 10th at BJNC 14s) Wave 15 is seeded at 17 HBC 15 seeded 24 (Finished 3rd at BJNC 14s) SG Elite 15 is seeded 25 Seaside 15Black is seeded 28 OCVC 15 is seeded 29 Pali 15 is seeded 30 (finished 5th at BJNC 14s)
Is the Wave 15 team a new team? They got a good seed for not being around as a top team in 14s.
Seeding indicates lots of changes for 15s this year.

Which clubs are the VCVC kids coming from i didnt see them last year new club? VCVC kids come from a variety of clubs, but VCVCs better 16s team is mostly kids who played on their 14s team last year. The kids are pretty talented considering that they are playing against team a whole year older. VCVCs other 16s team is a mix of Bones and Spectrum kids who are Sophomores as the other team is mostly Freshman.

New York and Virginia are just rapping up their High School Season so tough to tell their. Their is a tournament the first week in December at NVVA that will have allot of teams from PA, VA, and MD may see who has a shot. Coastal is not fielding a 15U team this year but has three 16U teams. RVC has not had tryouts so not sure their. NVVA has a solid team that was good at both 14's and 15's last year.

Which Midwest and east coast teams are looking good so far Wisconsin finished their high school season last weekend and club tryouts are this weekend, so too early to tell. Traditionally, the strongest clubs out of Milwaukee are Lightning and Milwaukee Volleyball Club (formerly North Shore Milwaukee). Lightning folded over the summer, so it will be interesting to see where those players go. Milwaukee Sting has been a very strong girls club, but is starting a boys program this year. Looks like last year's Lightning 16s, which was a very strong group, will go to Sting for 17s. At most other age groups, it looks like MVC will pick up the strongest Lightning guys. It will be interesting to see how everything settles out this week after offers are accepted.
