Anybody who works for Rutgers athletic dept so help me Julie! I wonder whether the Rutgers AD will decide they actually want to be competitive in volleyball in this conference, and if so, how long it will take for them to make that decision.

Good thread to start already. **DISCLAIMER** I completely understand that my opinions will not impact the firing of a coach. Nor do I want them to be. This post is just food for thought and discussion and I even considered some teams just having a tough preseason or a potentially bad year... this season. Early on for the BIG 10... Can't help but to put Indiana's Dunbar-Kruzan out there. They are 7-1 right now... but the competition has been rather weak and losing to University of Illinois Chicago... no bueno. They will get WHACKED in conference. Ohio State as well... under performing with the talent they have. SEC... Rob Patrick. Lost to Coastal Carolina today... not looking good. Lizzy Stemke at Georgia, only 4th year in, but getting beat by Harvard... ouch. BIG 12... I think they are all safe Big West... I think they are all safe. MWC... Lawanson at Nevada, just not getting it done. Pressure should be on this season. Garus at Boise State, never been above .500 in conference in his 5 year tenure there. Always weak out of conference schedule and definitely under performing. MVC... all should be safe. PAC-12... Tricky conference. I'll stick my neck way out there and bring up Colorado and Oregon State. That's it for now... tear it up people. Georgia, Colorado?

She at one time was D-1 volleyball coach. The esteemed Julie is on what I call a rather monstrous EGO TRIP! LOL!

Hermann fancies herself a volleyball connoisseur, and I imagine that decision has already been made and it's just a matter of picking the right time to pull the trigger given all the other fine messes she's gotten herself into.

What in their 7-0 start (including wins over Michigan and Pacific, who almost beat USC and swept Cal) would suggest putting Liskevych in the hot seat at this point?

CJ is OK for now, he is 5-4 for the season with couple quality wins.

Not saying it's right. Just wondering how long Minnesota gives him. They're so busy jacking up season tix prices, etc., but if the team doesn't win, then will that fall apart? How long they give him to do what?? Last season, the Gophers performed on par with where they had performed throughout Hebert's tenure. Was he always on the hot seat? I'm super confused as to what you mean. Do you think Hugh was brought in to win a national championship in one season? Do you think the administration was like "OMG they lost to Louisville, get rid of that guy!" or something? Delusional.

I mentioned in the SEC thread that Hazelwood SHOULD be on the hot seat at Miss. State but since they don't really care about their program, she's safe.

You can be tough, as long as you’re not toxic. Some coaches don't know the difference.

History suggests it... 0-20 in conference last season... 9-2 preseason. Overall record... 9-22. Want me to post the year before? It just may be time to consider a change...

Was it a fluke? If so, not sure how much pressure is on to do better or repeat. Not sure... but, like I said... it's a tricky conference. The Creighton Classic should be a good test before conference.

Colorado was one point away from being undefeated. Definitely not on the hot seat.

Agreed that OSU's had some abysmal seasons, I just took the essence of the thread to mean based off of performances thus far this year, which coach is potentially on shaky ground. Based off of pre-season performances, OSU might give Washington State, Utah, and Cal a run for their money in some matches.

Surprisingly, every coach voted Oregon State to finish last in the PAC-12 the pre-season poll.
