Thanks for the updates. Is Croatia a good team? Or are we making a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes?

Well I can't really say because they have good players, I mean they are a good team but the other day they were trashed by Serbia in a friendly. They have many good players and experienced too.. Poljak who played in Ecz and Usic together with Harmotto last season. Jerkov who was one of the best scorers in Turkey and has played in Russia and Japan too.. Sanja Popovic is well known worldwide, Milos who played in Novara together with Murphy.. and some young talents like Fabris and Brcic.. They have some problems with the federation otherwise they would be in top 5 in Europe IMO.

The sets are really bad.. Especially to Fawcette.. she can't hit any without being blocked or out just really bad location or what? didnt see the match.

Well first set Croatia played pretty weak so USA didn't have much work to do.. Kelly did a good job attacking.. there were some impressive shoot sets to Harmotto and Foluke.. The block was good in the first set. In the second set Dixon was in for Foluke, the rest was the same. Fawcett came in as part of the double sub and the sets for her are really low, I mean she can't hit that. She got blocked like many times and the rest of the time was digged.. reception was a problem too especially Larson didn't do a good job and was replaced in the second set.. She was blocked 3 straight times.. It was a strange match and I was getting nervous so I didn't follow it properly the last two sets.. But there were a few back row attacks so when Croatia served short (and they did it a lot and pretty effectively) there was no one to attack when OPP in back row so the MB went on the slide and Senna had no problem blocking them.. I didn't really notice if the defense was better but Kelly digged some balls.. Lets see and hope for the best but USA would be very lucky if the qualify for the F6

The point is that there is a possible US team player named Faucette and a player named Fawcett, so that particular spelling is confusingly one letter off of two different people. If "Akinradewo" is misspelled, it's still pretty clear who's being discussed. Not so with the mythical "Fawcette."

Well since Juliann is not on the roster for the WCH I think it was pretty obvious who I was talking about. It would be really strange if Faucette traveled to Croatia to play a friendly game and then got back to France to resume practice with her team, wouldn't it? Roster was announced a few days ago so I assumed people here were informed about it.. looks like not everyone.. Here you go: Setters: Alisha Glass (Leland, Mich.), Courtney Thompson (Kent, Wash.) Liberos: Kayla Banwarth (Dubuque, Iowa), Nicole Davis (Stockton, Calif.) Outside Hitters: Kristin Hildebrand (Orem, Utah), Kim Hill (Portland, Ore.), Jordan Larson-Burbach (Hooper, Neb.), Kelsey Robinson (Bartlett, Ill.) Middle Blockers: Rachael Adams (Cincinnati, Ohio), Foluke Akinradewo (Plantation, Fla.), Christa Dietzen (Hopewell Township, Pa.), Tori Dixon (Burnsville, Minn.) Opposites: Nicole Fawcett (Zanesfield, Ohio), Kelly Murphy (Wilmington, Ill.)

So,watching YouTube v.Croats and Robinson looked the best of OH I saw. Nice to see Jerkov again for a Cal fan. And Fawcett dropped the jump serve. Pity.
