You make many good points about the setting. But this last comment about NE having limited talent in general? Not so much. What was meant by what I said was, The Huskers TALENT, is limited by the setting. They have STUDS out there, and you'd never know it. Fair enough.

I also think if they were to pull Kelly out of her redshirt it would need to be done now before the Texas match, and yes she would set the rest of the year. I just don't think Cook is willing to do that. I cant see Hunter playing this year. My hunch is that Coach Cook is willing to bite the bullet this year in order to have three years left with Kelly at the helm. And while it might (or might not) be a painful season, I have to say I agree with his reasoning. With the recruits he has coming in the next couple years, along with the talent already there, he wants an elite setter to be leading them. I think if he thought they had a realistic chance at a National Championship this year with Hunter setting, she wouldn't be redshirting. All of the above could very well be wrong.

If Pollmiller were to get hurt, I think the plan is to go with Justine and Alexa in a 6-2, but that option is still not preferable to Pollmiller playing. I can't imagine they would pull Mary in order to let anyone other than Kelly Hunter set. J-WO at libero is easily the best thing Nebraska has going for it so far this year. Would they really pull her out of there? It's not the NBA, there's no benefit to tanking. I should clarify, that is the SHORT-TERM plan if Mary were to miss a game or maybe a match at most. If Mary (heaven forbid) were to suffer some kind of long-term injury, then Hunter would come out of her redshirt.
