Hope LMU gets healthy soon, because they're inching closer and closer to bubble territory.

Pepperdine pushed BYU to four. More impressive since they were playing AT BYU. Katie Messing had 23 kills for Pepperdine. I'm sure they are thrilled to have her healthy again. Hamson was 20 of 40 for BYU.

Hope LMU gets healthy soon, because they're inching closer and closer to bubble territory. They can't afford a second loss to Gonzaga or Pacific. They're also going to have a rough time at Santa Clara and San Francisco. They are 17-5 now with 8 games remaining. If they drop just two more, I think they are safely in the NCAA's at 23-7. At 22-8 it starts to get sketchy. If they go 4-4 over the final 8 and finish 21-9, I think the Lions will miss out. Santa Clara, if they can win a game next week, will put themselves in a good position to make the NCAA's. They play 6 of their last 8 at home. Their next three games are BYU, USD, and at Gonzaga. If they take two of those, the Broncos are in business. But they may stay alive if they lose two and win one.

Both teams really need their injured players back. Any updates?

Here are this week's WCC matches. Four of the matches are part of the Pick The Winners Contest this week. While Santa Clara is an obvious underdog, they did defeat BYU on their home court each of the past two seasons. Gonzaga vs LMU could go either way, depending on if LMU can find success at their OH position, and if they can stop Gonzaga's Savannah Blinn. St. Mary's might be waking up from their slump and finding their mojo, after a surprising 4 set win over San Francisco last week. Portland is still on the hunt for their first conference win, though they have had some very close matches, and never go down without a fight.

They could just write in Hamson's name on every upcoming POW vote today and probably still end up looking right.

I am extremely biased, but it think BYU could go far in the tourney. All depends on the seed/bracket. They unfortunately had to play USC in sweet 16 last year. I would be thrilled if they played USC this year!
